Washington Commanders tight end Ben Sinnott had an underwhelming rookie season. Stuck behind veteran Zach Ertz, Sinnott never played more than 54% of offensive snaps in any game last year. As a result, Sinnott had a paltry 5-28-1 line on just five targets. It's a little concerning that Sinnott couldn't cut into the 34-year-old Ertz's snap share, but rookie tight ends can be slow to develop. Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride didn't see much action playing behind Ertz as a rookie in 2022, and Travis Kelce didn't catch a single pass during his rookie year. That's not to say Sinnot will follow in either player's footsteps, but we shouldn't write him off just because of a poor first season. Sinnott is not a recommended draft day target, and he'll need to show some signs of life before fantasy managers even consider adding him off waivers. That means it's best for gamers to monitor Sinnott from afar and be ready to strike should he string together a few solid games once the 2025 season begins.--Dave Ventresca
