Ben Roethlisberger Could Miss Another Game
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday and missed the Week 10 tie with the Detroit Lions, isn't guaranteed to be cleared from the league's COVID-19 protocols in time to play against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. Because he's dealing with symptoms, Roethlisberger will need to test negative twice within a 24-hour span and show no symptoms for 48 hours before returning to the team. Roethlisberger is vaccinated, and his 10-day window to return if he is showing symptoms would be the Tuesday after the Week 11 game. Mason Rudolph went 30-for-50 for 242 yards with a touchdown and a pick against the Lions in Big Ben's absence. Rudolph would be expected to make another start if Roethlisberger isn't cleared to face the Bolts.
