Avisail Garcia Looks To Prove 2017 Wasn't A Fluke
7 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder, Avisail Garcia was once compared to a young Miguel Cabrera while he was in the Detroit Tigers system. After being acquired by the White Sox during the 2014 season, Garcia failed to live up to expectations. That all changed in 2017 as the 26-year-old not only made his first All-Star appearance but exceeded expectations. Garcia improved his plate discipline and it led to a breakout season that saw him hit .330 with 18 home runs and 80 RBI in 136 games. Garcia is one of those tricky players to judge heading into the 2018 season as he struggled throughout his career before last season. Although last years numbers are very nice, he will likely see a decline in his batting average and will likely be over-drafted due to last years superb numbers. However, he is still in the prime of his career and worthy of being drafted in the middle rounds of all leagues entering 2018.
