Andy Reid Not Worried About Patrick Mahomes
6 years agoKansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid isn't worried about quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has thrown eight interceptions in seven training camp practices. “I told you at the beginning of camp I don’t care about all that stuff,’’ Reid said. “I want him to test the offense . . . If you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to go test it you’re going to be one of those quarterbacks who checks it down every time." That's exactly why the Chiefs moved on from Alex Smith. Mahomes will have his fair share of interceptions in 2018 in his first year as a full-time starter, but he also has a huge arm, can make plays with his legs and will carry more upside than Smith ever did for fantasy owners. The Chiefs are clearly ready to open things up and stretch the field.
