Andrew Benintendi Not Playing Monday
3 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi (calf) is not in the starting lineup on Monday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Benintendi fouled a ball off his calf in the loss to the Houston Astros on Sunday and will take a seat a day later. For now, fantasy managers should consider the 27-year-old day-to-day. Make sure to remove him from your daily lineups. Benintendi has been having a fine season in his second year in KC, slashing .321/.384/.415 with two home runs, 21 RBI and 17 runs scored in 216 plate appearances over 52 games played. Kyle Isbel will get the nod in left field and will bat second on Monday against Jays right-hander Ross Stripling. Isbel is hitting .258 (17-for-66) and is still looking for his first home run in his 26th game of the year.
