Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin took over the third spot on the NHL's all-time goals list Tuesday night, netting his 767th career goal in a 4-3 shootout victory against the Islanders. He found the net 15:02 into the third period, grabbing his 37th goal of the current campaign. Ovechkin moved past Jaromir Jagr and only Wayne Gretzky (894) and Gordie Howe (801) are now ahead of him. Ovi should have no problems getting past Mr. Hockey next season, but setting the all-time record will take a massive effort. He's 36 after all and could slow down at some point, although there haven't been any signs of it this season, with Washington's captain on 72 points through 59 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
