2 years agoAlex Bowman has been fast in the past at Sonoma. He has two ninth-place results in his past four efforts. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver begins 14th on Sunday. That is right around his starts in three of the last four races on the California track. Bowman likes the 1.99-mile course and has some road results to boot. Two years ago, he was on track for the podium when a bad pit stop dropped him to ninth. Bowman has not won on a road course in the past three years but he has two top-five results and seven top-ten finishes. His average finish of 13 ranks fourth among all drivers on road courses during that span.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
