New Jersey Devils goaltender Akira Schmid posted his second shutout of the series as he made 31 saves in Monday's 4-0 series-clinching victory against the Rangers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference first-round matchup. Schmid bounced back from a rough start in the previous game where he allowed five goals in the loss, but the 22-year-old responded to help the Devils close out the series on home ice. Schmid finished with a .951 save percentage and 1.38 goals against average through five starts in the series, while only surrendering two goals in the four wins since he replaced starting goaltender Vitek Vanecek in Game 3. Schmid and the Devils will begin the upcoming series on the road as they take on the Hurricanes in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
