AJ Dillon Not Practicing Again On Thursday
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon (thumb) is not practicing on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Dillon played through a groin injury the past couple of weeks but now appears to be in danger of not playing this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, Aaron Jones (knee), who has missed the last three games due to an MCL sprain suffered in Week 11, has been at practice this week and could take over lead-back duties for the Packers, especially if Dillon cannot play against the Bucs. Patrick Taylor waits in the wings as the No. 3 back. In the unlikely event that both Dillon and Jones aren't active in Week 15, Taylor would be forced to operate as Green Bay's lead back. Fantasy managers should check back on Friday for the official designations on Dillon and Jones going into Sunday's contest. UPDATE: Head coach Matt LaFleur wouldn't specify if Dillon was dealing with a broken thumb and said, "we'll see" when asked if Dillon could play this weekend.
