Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Kris Bubic (shoulder) will miss the rest of the regular season, according to manager Matt Quatraro. Bubic was placed on the 15-day injured list after being diagnosed with a left rotator cuff strain on Sunday. Sadly, there isn't enough time for Bubic to heal up and return to the mound this season. He'll end his terrific season with a 2.55 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 116/39 K/BB ratio across 20 starts. The Royals believe Bubic will be fine in time for the beginning of next season. The Royals haven't announced who is going to take over the spot in the starting rotation.--Andy Webb
