X-Rays Negative on Eugenio Suarez After Hit by Pitch
Eugenio Suarez (finger) appears to have avoided a major injury after leaving a loss to the Detroit Tigers early on Monday. Suarez told reporters after the game that X-rays on his right index finger came back negative, and he'll undergo further testing on Tuesday. The two-time All-Star exited in the ninth inning after Tigers closer Will Vest hit him in the hand with a 95.6 mph fastball. It didn't look good, but it seems that the Diamondbacks and fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief. The same goes for teams that are interested in acquiring Suarez before Thursday's trade deadline.
