Adrian Houser Put On 15-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers placed right-hander Adrian Houser (elbow) on the 15-day injured list on Monday with right-elbow effusion and recalled right-hander J.B. Bukauskas from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move. Houser, who was pulled from his start after just two innings on Sunday against the San Diego Padres, is dealing with fluid buildup in his right elbow and will need to take at least two weeks off. The 30-year-old hasn't been much of a fantasy asset to begin with in 2023, going 5-4 with a 4.58 ERA (4.26 FIP), 1.48 WHIP, 28 walks and only 77 strikeouts in 90 1/3 innings pitched over his 19 appearances (17 starts) for the Brew Crew. If Milwaukee sticks with a five-man starting rotation, Bryse Wilson could be the team's leading candidate to take Houser's rotation spot in the coming weeks.
