3 years agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Adam Trautman (ankle) will visit with a foot specialist on Thursday, but the initial belief is that he's dealing with an injury that will take one to three weeks to return from. The Saints have some depth issues at the tight end position entering the regular season with Nick Vannett (knee) also dealing with an injury, but neither player's injury is considered long-term. Trautman was a popular breakout candidate entering the 2021 season, but fantasy managers might want to pump the brakes on that a bit now. The 24-year-old is still an upside TE2 target, but there's a chance he won't be ready for Week 1 now. If both Trautman and Vannett are out for the regular season opener, the Saints will roll with some combination of Juwan Johnson, Ethan Wolf and Garrett Griffin.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
