3 years agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Adam Trautman (ankle, foot) was carted off the field with an ankle/foot injury during the preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night. This could potentially be a serious injury for Trautman, who many were predicting to have a second-year breakout. Trautman wasn't targeted in the contest before leaving and also didn't draw a single target on 16 snaps in last Saturday's preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens. Check back for updates on the severity of Trautman's injury, but be prepared for a lengthy absence. Next up on the tight end depth chart is Nick Vannett, who has only topped 20 catches in a season once. However, the 28-year-old could be used frequently in this offense and could have some TE2 sleeper appeal, depending on how long Trautman will be out.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
