BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Leagues
ROSTERED: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: No news about Jimmy Garoppolo's status yet, as we're just starting the week, but he didn't practice at all during the last seven days and Nick Mullens was the clear starter for the 49ers this past weekend. Jimmy could be back next weekend, but there is nothing indicating that'd be the case with any certainty. If Mullens gets another start, then you should consider getting him.
In his first full game this season, Mullens attempted 36 passes (more than Garoppolo in W1 and W2) completing 25 of them for a 69.4% completion rate. Mullen's 343 yards were massive, and in fact, that mark ranks as the 9th-highest through three weeks of games (pending MNF). Sadly, Mullens could only connect for 1 TD on Sunday, but other than that he looked very good out there in the gridiron.
With San Francisco missing multiple players on defense, but most importantly offense (TE Jordan Reed, TE George Kittle, WR Deebo Samuel, RB Raheem Mostert, etc...) it was nice to see Mullens carrying his depleted team to victory. His 17.7 fantasy points weren't anything out of this world, but good enough to have him as the QB17 of the weekend. That means he's a top-half QB2, and a good play for 2QB leagues. Don't stream him next weekend in one-QB leagues, though, as Philadelphia's defense against the position ranks in the first-third of the NFL.
