BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Leagues
ROSTERED: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I was wrong. I was super wrong. But I don't think I can't be blamed because the Bears, a team with a putrid-at-best situation at the quarterback position, are 3-0 to start the year so what do we even know about how football works? I thought it would take Chicago more games to bench Mitchell Trubisky, but it seems that they want to lose no time (nor games, that is) and they made the flip mid-game in Week 3 already. Bye Mitch, hello Nick Foles.
And did Foles provide the goodies. Yes, yes he did. As is always the case with Foles, he took the opportunity by the horns and made the most of it when it truly counted. Foles entered the game against Atlanta with the Bears down in the third quarter, and the rest is history. In under two periods, Foles was able to attempt 29 passes completing 16 of them for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns against one interception. In a little bit more of playing time this Sunday, Trubisky's line read 13/22, 128 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. As you see, there was a clear winner between the two, and benching Mitch was the right decision.
Foles is going nowhere, no matter what Matt Naggy is saying. Trubisky had his chance, won two games, but put on a serious dud yesterday and hit the bench for who knows how long going forward. Foles reached 18.6 FP in limited playing time and it is not that Chicago's offense is a booming one, but there are enough tools around as to think of Foles as a good enough play off waivers. You can stream him in 1QB leagues and definitely play him weekly in 2QB ones for the next few weeks.
