NHL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (10/26): Value Plays, Goalies, Stacks

Welcome back to hockey season, RotoBallers! For those first-time readers, my name is Brandon and I write both “The First-Serve” and “The Kick-Off” for Tennis and Soccer, respectively. If you have not checked those out then make sure you do! It is the return of the NHL which means it's time to sharpen our MLB skills and partake in NHL DFS! As always, I'll give you the best tools to succeed and the info you need to build the best lineups possible for your GPP and cash game NHL contests on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Today I'll be bringing you my NHL lineup picks, analysis, and advice for NHL DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel for Tuesday, October 26th, 2020 at 7:00 PM. Be sure to also check out our awesome NHL tools including our Lineup Optimizer, Research Station, Projections, and DFS Cheat Sheets!

If you have any questions on today's slate, bankroll management, GPP strategy, Cash game strategy, or anything else don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected] or via Twitter @df_solutions or in our premium slack chat. Good luck, RotoBallers!

NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 10/26

Good Evening and welcome back! After last night’s pretty straightforward, but yet nail-biting slate, we have our first slate where anything can happen. There are no clear favorites and every match is a toss-up. After last night’s loss to Buffalo, Tampa does not look in a good position against the Penguins, however, they will be getting Vasilevskyi back in the net. The only true possible favorite will be Colorado vs Vegas.

Vegas Odds for the Day

Players Out

Kris Letang - D - Pittsburgh Penguins

Eeli Tolvanen - W - Nashville Predators

Nolan Patrick - C - Vegas Golden Knights

Jonathan Bernier - G - New Jersey Devils

Players Expected Back

NHL DFS Goalies

Tristan Jarry- DK $7.2K || FD $7.9K

Opponent - Tampa Bay Lightning

I am absolutely baffled at the pricing scheme that DK has been using so far, but I am not going to complain. Jarry has been phenomenal so far this season with a 1.47 GAA and a 0.943 save percentage. Tampa Bay just lost last night 5-1 to the Buffalo Sabres and at this price, it is a no-brainer.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Kuemper(DK $8.5K || FD $8.4K), Talbot(DK $7.7K || FD $8.2K), Daws(DK $7.4K || FD $7.1K)

NHL DFS Centers

Nathan MacKinnon-DK $8.1K || FD $8.9K

Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights

Let’s continue the ongoing theme of the night with soft pricing. Vegas has lost their last four matches and they have been outscored 16-6 in that time. They now play one of the more dynamic offenses in the Western Conference and a healthy top-line for the Avalanche. MacKinnon is currently sporting a 1-4-5 line in three appearances so far. Things are looking bright tonight.

Logan Couture- DK $5.5K || FD $5.3K

Opponent - Nashville Predators

Typically everyone talks about Tomas Hertl when the Sharks are mentioned, but what about Couture? The longstanding veteran of the Sharks seems to have found his prime once again with a solid 3-5-8 line in five appearances this season. The most intriguing part of his matchup is his winger Tim Meier who is lighting everything on fire currently. The Predators love to play a fast-paced game and so do the Sharks. Look for some heavy offense swinging on both sides.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Lindholm(DK $6.4K || FD $7.4K), Eriksson Ek(DK $6.4K || FD $4.9K), Dubois(DK $5K || FD $5K), Dvorak(DK $4.1K || FD $4.2K), O’Connor(DK $3.3K || FD $3.9K)

NHL DFS Wings

Miko Rantanen- DK $8K || FD $8.3K

Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights

You can’t play MacKinnon without a solid winger to go with him. The only issue is Rantanen is another $1.2K more expensive than his other linemate Gabriel Landeskog. Granted both are great options, Rantanen provides a much higher ceiling though. It will not be surprising to see Rantanen put together a multi-point night.

Kyle Connor- DK $7.5K || FD $8.1K

Opponent - Anaheim Ducks

Connor is elevating his game once again. The winger is sporting a 6-3-9 line in just five appearances. He is also doing this without his typical center, Mark Scheifele. Now he will get a rebuilding Ducks team who is holding their own, but they will not have the capability to shut down Connor in a plus matchup.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Tkachuk(DK $ 7.4K || FD $6.7K), Kaprisov(DK $ 7.3K || FD $7.4K), Landeskog(DK $6.8K || FD $7.3K), Meier(DK $6.6K || FD $6.3K), Hoffman(DK $4.6K || FD $4.6K), Kapanen(DK $4.4K || FD $4.5K), Duchene(DK $4.1K || FD $3.7K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Roman Josi- DK $7.4K || FD $6.6K

Opponent - San Jose Sharks

Josi has been the best player for the Predators without surprise. The dman is averaging 3.0 shots and 1.5 blocks so far through six appearances and he is sporting a 3-4-7 line. He just had his best game so far against a stingy Minnesota defense and now he gets to play against a more aggressive offensive defense. Premium price for a premium matchup.

John Marino- DK $3.4K || FD $3.7K

Opponent - Tampa Bay Lightning

With Letang out due to COVID-19 Protocol, Marino has taken over the helm as the bonafide #1 dman for the Penguins. However, he barely was involved in the goal-fest against Toronto, going without a single point. Letang looks to stay out once again, giving Marino a second chance to prove himself as a top dman for the team.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Burns(DK $5.3K || FD $5.1K), Dumba(DK $6.2K || FD $4.7K), Ekman-Larsson(DK $5.3K || FD $4.5K), Schmidt(DK $4.5K || FD $4K), Smith(DK $2.6K || FD $4.5K)
