NFL DFS Lineup Sleepers for DraftKings, FanDuel - AFC/NFC Championship Playoff Round Value Picks Include Brock Purdy, Jerick McKinnon, Tee Higgins, Dallas Goedert

Jerick McKinnon - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Kyle's NFL DFS sleepers for DraftKings, FanDuel - AFC/NFC Championship Round (2023). His value picks and lineup sleepers for building winning daily fantasy football lineups.

There is still one more weekend to go if you want to get in on a slate of games for DFS on Sunday. Three of the four remaining teams also finished in the top six in most fantasy points scored by an offense this season: the Eagles, Chiefs, and Bengals. All four playoff teams finished inside the top 10 in Offensive DVOA rankings from Football Outsiders. While the Bengals, Eagles, and 49ers all feature stout defenses, there could still be plenty of points scored. Both games will be played outdoors but the weather is not expected to be much of an issue.

The purpose of this article is to help find players who are undervalued in DFS but have plenty of upside when it comes to playing in weekend contests. However, with just four teams remaining in the NFL playoffs, that can prove to be quite difficult with only a limited pool of players to choose from. When it comes to playing in Cash Games, typically we want to target players with a higher week floor, and in Guaranteed Prize Pool contests, we always want to be targeting the players with the highest potential upside at their given DFS price. With only two games to choose from, our margin for error is a lot less this weekend.

This article has run every week throughout the regular season. It won't include the obvious choices but instead players who appear to be undervalued in current DFS formats. If you didn't catch my Week 1 article that included some DFS tips and tricks, it can be found here. When it comes to tournaments, stacking our quarterback with one of their pass catchers is a must. No matter which one you decide to play this week, here are some bargain players with potential in the conference championships. Now let's get to those picks already!

Quarterback NFL DFS Value Plays - Championship Playoff Round

Brock Purdy, SF at PHI| DK: $5,400, FD: $6,900

He's the only bargain quarterback available this weekend by default, but Purdy continues his torrid undefeated streak as the 49ers starter ever since Jimmy Garoppolo went down with an injury. They face a tough Eagles defense this weekend and Purdy will need to have the best game of his career. Nonetheless, if you want to differentiate from the rest of the field at QB, he is your only option.

Ever since he stepped in for an injured Jimmy Garappolo, Purdy is 7-0 as the 49ers quarterback, including impressive playoff wins over the Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card round and the Cowboys in the Divisional Round. While QB wins don't matter for fantasy, Purdy has thrown 2+ TDs in all of his starts. He doesn't have a lot of rushing upside, but he is stocked with an incredible quartet of weapons around him, such as Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle. That's not even mentioning the league's best left tackle Trent Williams as well as play-caller in Kyle Shanahan. The 49ers have so many weapons that my head is spinning. The only question some have is if the Cinderella Story is going to turn back into a pumpkin at midnight.

Running Back NFL DFS Value Plays - Championship Playoff Round

Jerick McKinnon, KC vs CIN| DK: $5,400, FD: $6,500

One of the best comeback players of the 2022 season, McKinnon is a great story of perseverance. After waiting his time for four years in Minnesota behind Adrian Peterson, McKinnon signed with the 49ers in 2018 to be the guy in Kyle Shanahan's offensive scheme before injuries caused him to miss all of 2018 and 2019. Since signing in Kansas City, he's become an incredible weapon out of the backfield for Patrick Mahomes and was an awesome value late in the season for fantasy.

Over his last five games, McKinnon has been the RB1 twice and provided an RB6 finish as well. He wasn't great last week against the Jaguars, rushing just 11 times for 25 yards along with zero receptions, but this game will likely feature plenty of scoring. The Bengals' defense has been a great one in the second half of the season, but McKinnon has carved out a solid role for himself out of the backfield in the Chiefs' passing game. He's got a ton of upside as your RB2 or Flex at a price of just $5400 on DraftKings.

Miles Sanders, PHI vs SF| DK: $5,200, FD: $6,200

One of the most overlooked players in fantasy this season, Sanders provided some incredible value rushing for 1,269 yards and 11 TDs, but he wasn't as much of a viable threat in the Eagles' passing game as he was in previous seasons. The Eagles' offense faces a tough test against a very solid 49ers defense, but Philadelphia may have the advantage with the zone read plays where Hurts can either hand it off to Sanders or run for it himself based on what the defense is doing. Gainwell played a lot in the second half of last week's 38-7 victory over the Giants and the Eagles had a bye during the Wild Card round so Sanders' legs should be fresh in this one.

Wide Receiver NFL DFS Value Plays - Championship Playoff Round

Tee Higgins, CIN at KC| DK: $5,400, FD: $6,700

We could make the case that Higgins would be a top five fantasy WR on just about any team where he isn't shadowed by Ja'Marr Chase and it would be hard to find many who would disagree. This season, Higgins had another impressive campaign with 74 receptions for 1,029 yards and seven TDs. However, he missed close to three games where he had just two receptions for 27 yards after suffering an early concussion, as well as being ruled out in Weeks 5 and 14 early on where he played a total of just 11 snaps. Eliminate those games and Higgins finishes as a WR1 on the season.

Tee didn't do much last weekend with just three catches for 28 yards but the Bengals routed the Bills 27-10 and the weather was a big factor in the game. With those two factors, there was no need for Higgins to do much in the contest. He's got a lot of upside and feels like a great value this week in a game where both sides could easily score over 30 points. Expect a shootout.

Brandon Aiyuk, SF at PHI| DK: $4,400, FD: $6,000

An underrated player in his own right, Aiyuk quietly put up 78 receptions for 1,015 yards and eight touchdowns this season. The 49ers have a lot of mouths to feed in their offense and Aiyuk has plenty of competition for targets, but it may prove difficult to run the ball on the Eagles' defense on Sunday. He can break a big one on any given play, and if you're a believer in Brock Purdy, then Aiyuk feels like a great value this week. If he were to be traded from the 49ers in the next year for salary cap reasons, then Aiyuk has the potential to be a WR1 on another team where he would likely be guaranteed consistent targets.

Tight End NFL DFS Value Plays - Championship Playoff Round

Dallas Goedert, PHI vs SF| DK: $4,100, FD: $6,400

One of the better tight ends in the league, Goedert put together another solid season with 55 receptions for 702 yards and three TDs over just 12 games after missing time with a shoulder injury. While he may face Fred Warner in coverage over the middle in this one, we have to understand that with only four teams left at this point in the season, the easily exploitable mismatches for fantasy purposes are no longer available to us.

The Eagles may struggle to start fast in this one like they usually do since they are facing stout 49ers front seven and they may be forced to take to the air. Goedert has some big-play ability, which is what we want in DFS formats from our TEs, and averaged a hefty 12.8 yards per reception this season, which was higher than a lot of wide receivers.

Good luck this weekend and be sure to savor these last remaining football games like they're every bite of a medium-rare filet mignon!
