NFL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Cowboys vs. Giants SNF Showdown Slate

Tony Pollard - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

John's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Cowboys vs. Giants DFS showdown slate on 9/10. His Sunday Night Football daily fantasy football advice.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have an inter-divisional battle in our first Sunday Night Football game of the season, as Dak Prescott and the Cowboys head up to Jersey to take on Daniel Jones and the Giants. Both of these teams have high expectations in 2023. I'm expecting this one to be a pretty juiced matchup between two potential playoff teams.

We've been pretty successful so far with these showdown slates and hopefully, that trend continues from last year into this year. Most of us started our fantasy journeys with football, so it's always nice when it comes around. Thanks to the advanced analytics of today, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Cowboys vs. Giants Sunday Night NFL DFS showdown slate on September 10. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, you can follow me on Twitter @LucidMediaDFS and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts at any time you'd like!

MVP/Captain Plays

Tony Pollard - RB, $16,500 (DK), $13,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats (incl. playoffs): 1,106 rushing yards, 61 targets, 44 receptions, 394 receiving yards, 12 touchdowns.
  • 2022 Offensive Rush DVOA: 1.13% (10th, per FTN)
  • 2022 Defensive Rush DVOA: 12.05% (32nd, per FTN)

I'll start things off tonight with Tony Pollard. Pollard, who suffered an injury in Dallas's NFC Divisional loss to the 49ers, is projected to have a massive 2023 season. That appears to start tonight, as my model sees Pollard as the top player in all formats. The model projects him to be incredibly efficient tonight, with over 150 all-purpose yards and 1.01 touchdowns. He's my top play across both sites in all formats.

Dak Prescott - QB, $15,000 (DK), $16,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats (incl. playoffs): 3,371 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, 17 interceptions.
  • 2022 Offensive Pass DVOA: 12.8% (13th per FTN)
  • 2022 Opposing Defense Pass DVOA: 9.14%, (22nd per FTN)

I'll double up on the Cowboys in terms of the captain/MVP spot tonight with Dak Prescott. Prescott had a poor 2022, but I'm expecting a bounce-back in 2023. Dallas added Brandin Cooks this offseason. As long as he stays on the field, he will provide a solid "yang" to the "yin" of CeeDee Lamb. I'm expecting Prescott to have a big night tonight and lead Dallas to victory in this one.

Other Captains/MVPs: Saquon Barkley, Darren Waller, CeeDee Lamb

DFS Flex Plays

Saquon Barkley - RB, $10,600 (DK), $14,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats (incl. playoffs): 1,426 rushing yards, 85 targets, 64 receptions, 415 receiving yards, 12 touchdowns.
  • 2022 Offensive Rush DVOA: 4.9% (7th, per FTN)
  • 2022 Defensive Rush DVOA: -15.72% (3rd, per FTN)

I'll take a look at Saquon Barkley at the flex spot tonight. Barkley is also a solid captain play tonight but falls third in line on my list. My model projects Barkley to rack up north of 150 all-purpose yards tonight, as well as 0.73 touchdowns. Barkley, who just signed a contract during training camp, should have fresh legs heading into 2023. He is poised for a solid year so long as he stays on the field.

Darren Waller - TE, $8,400 (DK), $12,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 43 targets, 28 receptions, 388 receiving yards, three touchdowns.

I'll take a look at one of New York's newest acquisitions in the passing game tonight in the form of Darren Waller here. Waller, who made a name for himself out in Oakland/Las Vegas, is looking to bring some more life to this Giants offense. My model projects him to 3.65 receptions for 44.14 receiving yards and 0.19 touchdowns.

Other Flex Options: Daniel Jones, Isaiah Hodgins, Michael Gallup

DFS Value Plays

Parris Campbell - WR, $4,400 (DK), $10,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 91 targets, 63 receptions, 623 receiving yards, three touchdowns.

I'll take a look at another addition to the Giants passing game in wide receiver Parris Campbell. Campbell had himself an up-and-down 2022 season in Indianapolis, mostly due to the struggles and inconsistencies at the quarterback position. He should garner some more stability with Daniel Jones under center now. I think it's enough stability to make him a steal tonight, particularly on DraftKings. My model projects Campbell for about 30 yards on three receptions and 0.21 touchdowns.

Sterling Shepard - WR, $2,400 (DK), $7,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 24 targets, 13 receptions, 154 receiving yards, one touchdown.

I'll wrap things up with Sterling Shepard tonight. Shepard played very well in three games before succumbing to a knee injury in Week 3. It'll be an uphill battle for him to repeat that production coming off of said injury, as well as the additions that the Giants made to the receiver/tight end room since the injury. He projects to just 14.72 yards on 1.43 receptions and 0.11 touchdowns. However, he's worth a shot, particularly on DraftKings due to his very cheap price.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and good luck everyone!
