Nelson Agholor is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 2 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: I loved Nelson Agholor last year. He became a weekly write-up on the WW column, and the truth is that I never got to understand why the super-low rostership when it came to this man and fantasy GMs. I guess folks out there were always focusing more on what Agholor couldn't/didn't do than his positives, but he was fantastic as a freely available player in most fantasy leagues.
Agholor was not the steadiest of players in 2020 while playing for the Raiders, I know. He seemed to always be bouncing between 10 PPR and 20 PPR points with no middle ground between those two potential outcomes. But he hit more often than not and when all was said and done Agholor was a WR3 on the season. Now a Patriot, this is Agholor's third team in the past three seasons and he could very well keep improving his per-game averages after putting up 8.5 and 11.6 FPPG in the past two years.
New England's rookie QB trusted Agholor in his debut, targeting the veteran the second-most times only behind Jakobi Meyers. Agholor finished the game with 5 receptions on 7 targets for 72 yards... and obviously, a receiving touchdown because that is what Agholor does best, scoring. Agholor comes off a career-high 8 TDs in 2020, but I wouldn't rule out a re-do in 2021. The risky boom/bust profile of Agholor knocks him down to a WR3/FLEX play at best, but he's way far from the worst player you can get for free in almost 70% of fantasy leagues out there.
