The Daily NBA Fantasy Shopper: NBA Expert Picks for DraftStreet - 12/10/2013

PG: Brandon Jennings (14,894): After a tooth problem derailed the start of his season, Jennings has proven to be one of the best point guards in fantasy basketball.  In the past few weeks, he has had five games over 10 assists and has scored in double figures in nine straight games.  Jennings still is not an elite shooter, just 42% on the year, but does enough of everything else to make him a great daily play.  His matchup against Minnesota tonight should be a good one as well; consider him a top option.

SG: DeMar DeRozan (14,620): With Rudy Gay now playing for the Kings, look for DeRozan to be option 1A for the remainder of the season in Toronto.  That is great news for a player already averaging a career-high 21.5 points a game.  DeRozan is another player who is not extremely efficient, but given the opportunity he is will be getting, he should more than overcome that. In his first game sans Gay, DeRozan posted 26 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks.  The game tonight against San Antonio will be tough, but DeRozan should still be able to produce.

SF: Jeff Green ($11,005): As the top scorer in Boston, Green has put up a solid 16.6 points per game.  Over his past few games, he is shooting a solid 49% and seems to have found his role in Brad Stevens’s offense with 10 straight games in double-figure scoring.  He is not a huge contributor in other areas, but he still manages to grab 4.5 rebounds a game.  Tonight he faces a Brooklyn team that is a sieve on defense, allowing 102.3 points a game.  Green should be safe to deploy tonight for a solid price.

PF: Tristan Thompson ($13,542): In his past six games Thompson has put up the following rebound numbers: 11, 7, 14, 21, 11 and 13.  He has also chipped in 14, 17, 9 and 20 points over his past four games.  It is clear he has Mike Brown’s confidence as he is playing the best basketball of his career.  Although his price tag is creeping up, you should continue to ride the Thompson Train until it slows down.  A matchup against the Knicks only helps your decision to pick him tonight.

C: Pau Gasol ($11,866): Gasol is a bit of a stretch tonight as he is coming off of one of his worst games of the season, a disappointing 7-point and 8-rebound performance.  Up until that point, Gasol had been the Gasol of old, averaging a near double-double this year while also putting up 3.1 assists and 1.2 blocks a game.  Another factor that will help Gasol is a Phoenix team that is small up front and has given up big games to several big men this year.  With this price falling rapidly, take advantage and pick up Gasol for tonight.

U: Eric Bledsoe ($12,959): After sitting six games in late November, Bledsoe has returned to the Phoenix lineup and picked up right where he left off prior to his break.  His last two games combined have seen him go for 36 points, 14 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks.  Those are the all-around numbers that made him one of the breakout fantasy stars of the early season.  Tonight he faces a Lakers team that just gave up huge games to Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, so look for Bledsoe to have a monster game.

U: Taj Gibson ($12,380): Gibson has seen a big bump in minutes over the past two weeks, and he has put up the numbers to justify that move.  He has five straight games over 18 points scored, and he’s also put up double-digit rebounds in two of those contests.  Gibson has taken over for most of Carlos Boozer’s minutes, and that is unlikely to change.  His matchup tonight is against a frontline missing Zaza Pachulia and Larry Sanders, so this is a selection that ripe for the picking.  Gibson should continue his hot play tonight.

Good luck with all of your Tuesday Fanduel and DraftStreet Daily League Fantasy Basketball selections!
