Markelle Fultz is worth considering as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 18 of the 2022-23 NBA season.

ANALYSIS: We're barely two months into Markelle Fultz's Return Tour but it's been so far so good for the much-maligned point guard. Starting at the one for the Magic since the day he returned, it's already been 35-of-35 games started for the former no. 1 pick while he's kept improving his statistics on a weekly basis.
That last statement is only partially true, I have to concede. Yes, Fultz improved vastly from early December through mid-January but he's since dropped his production a bit. Good for those in need of help, though, Fultz has been able to bounce back of late.
Fultz has scored double-digit points in seven of his last 10 games played going back to January 23. He's played an average of 31 MPG while posting lines of 13-3-5-1. The most worrying thing about Fultz throughout his career, his shooting, isn't even remotely bad these days with the six-year vet hitting buckets at a 50% clip from the floor and keeping up 50/29/74 splits.
I know that three-point accuracy sucks, but gladly that's not Fultz's calling card as he barely attempts one per game. Fultz's main contributions come from the rebounds (3.8 RPG, great for a PG), dimes (5.5), and steals (1.5) cats. Fultz is one of only seven players in the NBA posting 5.5+ APG and 1.5+ SPG through Friday, and the only player in that group doing it while playing fewer than 30 MPG.
