ANALYSIS: We told you before Mason Plumlee got sent packing to Los Angeles. We told you after Mason Plumlee got sent packing to Los Angeles. And we will keep on telling you until the season is over because grabbing shares of Mark Williams is more than worth it.
M-Will has taken over the starting C of the Charlotte Hornets and he's just not going anywhere. It's been nine starts in a row for the rookie, who got his first one on Feb. 10 and has yet to not see that happen in any of the games he's played since then.
Williams is getting around 28 MPG nightly in which he's a virtual lock to dub-dub no matter the opposition. That's Williams' calling card right now as he takes his first steps into the world of professional basketball. This baby big is not going to give you three-point makes, steals, or any other fancy statistics. Consider him just your classic giant.
The points and the rebounds are fantastic considering the playing time. Williams would average a saucy 15 PTS/36 and 12 RBD/36 if he played that much considering his numbers since he became a starter. Even on a per-game basis, Williams is bordering on the dub-dub with 12 PPG and 9.5 RPG.
The blocks are an added bonus with 1.5+ BPG since he became part of the Hornets' starting lineup and a season-long average of 1.4 BPG in games in which he's logged more than 10 minutes of play.
