BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: On paper, things haven't been trending for Larry Rountree III; after seeing 65 offensive snaps and taking 24 carries plus one reception (two targets) for 59 total yards from week one through week four with some special teams work thrown into the middle, the rookie out of Mizzou has seen his on-field work considerably toned down. However, there may be hope yet for the back who accumulated 4,009 scrimmage yards and 40 touchdowns in four seasons at Missouri before being drafted by the Chargers in the sixth round.
In weeks eight and nine he saw zero targets and five carries for 12 yards in 14 offensive snaps, but this past week, he saw a slight uptick at nine offensive snaps, and took five carries for ten yards and his first NFL touchdown, complete with a flying leap over the goal line and some sick dance moves in celebration (now giving him seven red zone carries on the year). Fortunately, while 2020 draftee Joshua Kelley has seen a greater amount of snaps at 69 just in weeks five, six, nine, and ten; he has taken just ten carries with one target (one catch) for 40 total yards in that time, with just one carry of six yards next to Rountree's workload this past week. With a small ray of light at the end of the tunnel, the college pedigree and red zone usage as compared to his main backfield competition should keep Larry Rountree III on the minds of those in need of assistance in deeper PPR formats.
