BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 29% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Finally, after four weeks, Minnesota could score itself a win. Bravo! Betting on the Vikings passing game is a tall order, I'm not going to lie to you there. Minny is built on the rushing game, and then just flashes some booming passing/receiving plays that make the weekly highlights. You're basically banking on that happening if you want to score fantasy points from the receiving corps or Kirk Cousins. The good thing is that those events have taken place every week so far and it looks like more are going to keep coming.
While Cousins W2 performance was atrocious (1.5 fantasy points...) that was also a true outlier in his 2020 season. He only passed for 113 yards, no scores, and 3 picks back then. In the other three games, though, Cousins have reached 251+ yards and thrown at least one touchdown every time. Although the interceptions have been there (1 in Week 1, 2 in Week 3), he's always thrown one more touchdown than the number of picks (2 vs. 1, 3 vs. 2, and 1 vs. 0 in Week 4).
This past weekend, again in the low-volume style he's now for, Cousins completed 16 of 22 passes for 260 yards and logged his highest YPA of the year at 11.8. His aDOT sits at 11.0 yards on the season, the highest among QBs with at least two games played. Cousins has thrown at least two 20+ yard passes in every game except this past Sunday's, and a 40+ yard one in W3.
Minnesota has the sweetest of schedules coming its way: Seattle next week (2nd worst at preventing fantasy points from QBs) and Atlanta (worst). Add Cousins in any deep 1QB League at least for the next couple of weeks, and make him a must-start in your 2QB competitions.
