ANALYSIS: The rookie running back out of East Carolina got his first career NFL snaps in Baltimore's Week 7 pounding of the Detroit Lions. Mitchell earned just one touch, taking a shovel pass for nine yards.
Unfortunately, the explosive back whose pro career has been stalled due to injuries, suffered another one in his pro debut. Mitchell left Week 7 with a hamstring injury, though Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told the media on Monday that he believed Mitchell's injury wasn't "substantial" and labeled him as "week-to-week" with the issue.
Keaton Mitchell season is upon us!
Glad to get him back! An absolutely horrible spot too, should’ve comfortably been a first down! #RavensFlock pic.twitter.com/nBudL6v3Un

Many fantasy analysts have been touting Mitchell's potential emergence after he totaled over 3,000 scrimmage yards during his collegiate career, though he's struggled to remain healthy since landing with Baltimore. Fantasy managers in desperate need of running back help - and that have room on their benches - can consider using a dart throw waiver pick-up on the rookie in the hopes that he gets healthy and can contribute down the stretch. He's a pure stash and his fantasy impact will likely remain minimal in the short term, though his obvious dynamic athleticism makes him an intriguing prospect.
