BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 47% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Back in Week 9, Baltimore Ravens rookie running back Keaton Mitchell ran for 138 yards on nine carries against the Seattle Seahawks, scoring his first NFL touchdown in the process. It looked like Mitchell was on his way to a breakout.
One week later, the story with Mitchell is more complicated. He scored a 39-yard touchdown against the Browns this week, but he lost yardage on his two other carries to finish with 34 yards on three attempts. He added a 32-yard reception, though.
Mitchell has had some explosive plays so far for the Ravens and his snap share rose to a season-high 24% this week. Those are the positives and the reason he's worth adding in 10-team leagues. Mitchell should be in line for some increased production going forward.
Still, there's reason for concern. He actually played fewer total snaps in Week 10 and had six fewer carries than he did in Week 9. Justice Hill was his role reduced, but in exchange, we saw Gus Edwards bounce back to 11 carries. Edwards has also scored seven touchdowns in the past four games.
Hill's reduction in snaps is good news for Mitchell, but as long as Edwards is getting the red-zone looks, Mitchell will need to score off big plays, something that's not easy to sustain. Add him, but temper expectations.
