BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 0% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Eagles are this close to forfeiting the 2020 NFL season because of a serious lack of offensive players. Now, that's a joke, but it is not as crazy as it sounds. This past weekend they lost TE Dallas Goedert and WR DeSean Jackson, both of them joining an already-injured group of players in which you can also find WR Jalen Reagor and WR Alshon Jeffery. Now, it makes more sense to find John Hightower playing in 78 (!) of the team's offensive snaps.
You read that right. Hightower logged the second-most snaps Sunday, only topped by elite-TE Zach Ertz. That is what makes Hightower appealing, as his performance was really far from great and it is not that he had done a lot in the first two games of the season (0.8 and 0.0 PPR points respectively on 27 and 7 snaps played). In W3, Hightower was targeted 3 times by Wentz and caught 2 of those passes for 19 yards, good for an average 9.5 Y/R. Again, nothing mind-bending but on an impressive number of snaps that will remain high going forward if only because Philly has not many more options to play with.
Keep an eye on the injury reports through the week and add Hightower to your roster if you're needy on the WR position of a very deep league. The Eagles would probably favor their rushers/better options on the receiving corps other than Hightower, but he should still find a way to log snaps and targets at least for one more week with everyone seemingly banged up.
