BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 51% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you think I shouldn't have written this post because Jahan Dotson got injured late on Sunday's game and didn't return, that's reasonable. I, personally, see this as a window of opportunity and perhaps the last chance you will have to add such a talented player as Jahan Dotson from your league's waiver pool.
Dotson missed the last 10 minutes of the fourth quarter last Sunday leaving the field with a hamstring injury. Appearing in 44 snaps of Washington's total 74 prior that that, Dotson was already good enough to run 25 routes and turn those into a four-target, three-reception, 43-yard, one touchdown line effortlessly.
That's Dotson for you, and that's actually a part-time-available player that had one of the worst performances of his rookie year to date. Dotson has scored 13.3+ PPR points (his Week 4 score) in three of the first four games of the season. He got the volume you desire in Week 3 (eight targets) but he could only catch two of those passes for 10 yards and 3.0 PPR points.
Other than that though, Dotson has been an absolute menace and a fantasy darling. He's scored 18 PPR, 17.9, and lastly 13.3 in the other three games he's played while scoring at least one touchdown in each of those and always hauling in 3+ receptions.
We don't know yet how much this injury will impact Dotson's availability going forward, but judging by his words and past similar hammy issues he shouldn't be out for long – if at all. Washington doesn't have its Bye week until Week 14 so it's not that they can use a cautionary approach or anything like that.
Some fantasy GMs will be a bit scared and won't bet on Dotson because of this news. Don't be one of those and land Dotson while you still can. His near-50% availability in all Yahoo won't last.
