BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is one of the most boom-or-bust fantasy football players. The tight end can have massive performances and win fantasy players their weekly matchups. He can also get squeezed out of a high-powered and loaded San Francisco offense, ending the game with little fantasy production.
Kittle is the TE4 for the year, averaging 10.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He is one of four 49ers with at least six receiving touchdowns in 2023, joining Christian McCaffrey (seven), Brandon Aiyuk (six), and Deebo Samuel (six).
The superstar has played well lately. Over the past seven contests, Kittle has averaged 13 fantasy points per game despite seeing more than six targets in only two matchups. He can have meaningful fantasy points despite not having a massive target share.
Tonight, the 49ers face the Baltimore Ravens in a potential Super Bowl preview matchup. The Ravens have surrendered the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends this season (7.9). However, they have struggled to defend tight ends lately.
Over the past three contests, Baltimore has surrendered 11.1 fantasy points per game to tight ends. Fantasy players should plug Kittle into their lineup and hope he has a boom week performance.
