BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 8% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Las Vegas Raiders announced on Thursday that they had put both TE Darren Waller and WR2 Hunter Renfrow on the Injured Reserve. That means that both players will be forced to remain out of the gameday roster for at least four weeks. The Raiders have already gone through their bye week, so that means no Waller or Renfrow will grace a football gridiron for the next month.
That also means that TE2 Foster Moreau enters the TE1 picture instantly with Waller out of contention. Moreau, of course, has not been quite putting fantasy scoreboards on fire this season with his secondary role next to Waller... in the games they've been able to play together. That's because Waller has missed prior matches already so we get a solid idea of what Moreau can do by himself.
Moreau has appeared in five games to Waller's four, and both have shared the field just twice in W2 and W3. Moreau was good for 6.0 and 5.8 PPR points in those two games, quite a disgrace but still (somehow) top-24 marks among TEs both times.
Playing by himself, though, Moreau has not been much better as his usage didn't change at all. He's scored 5.8, 9.1, and 4.4 PPR points in the past three weeks getting 5, 9, and 5 targets in those games and catching 3, 6, and 2 of them for 28, 31, and 42 yards.
With Waller and Renfrow out, though, we have to assume his usage will go at least up a tick and allow him to enter the TE1 realm if all stars align or at least end among the high-end TE2 performers in the next few weeks.
