Super Bowl LIX Matchups We Love - Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks Including Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, Travis Kelce, Dallas Goedert, more

Saquon Barkley - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Quincy's top fantasy football matchups for the Super Bowl of 2024-25. His favorite start 'em, sit 'em picks and predictions -- strong start/sit matchups that he loves.

The end is near in the NFL. Super Bowl week has finally arrived. NFL fans can rejoice as we near the end of a long season. It is bittersweet to hit this point in the season, but the fireworks that should come with the Super Bowl are too great to ignore.

This season's big game features the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. There is a lot of star power available for playoff leagues and DFS formats. Travis Kelce and Saquon Barkley lead the charge, but there are several intriguing auxiliary players in this game.

With the final weekend upon us, fantasy players will be eager to make their last bit of money or win their final possible matchups. This game features "good against good." There are not many players to temper expectations for and plenty who should be in your lineup. Let's dive in and see which players you should target this week.

Fantasy Football Matchups We Love

Jalen Hurts - Philadelphia Eagles
Opponent: vs. KC
Opponent Rank vs. QB: 23rd

Jalen Hurts proved during the NFC Championship Game that he is a quality passer when called upon. Although running back Saquon Barkley has been virtually unstoppable during these playoffs, it is hard to believe that the Eagles will not have to rely on Hurts' arm at some point during the Super Bowl.

Hurts is also likely going to be good for a tush push touchdown at some point during this game. He is in line for a quality stat line this week. Just two years ago, Hurts was nearly perfect in the Super Bowl against these very Chiefs. His lone mistake was a fumble.

Saquon Barkley - Philadelphia Eagles
Opponent: vs. KC
Opponent Rank vs. QB: 2nd

The matchup is about as bad as it gets but that should not matter for Saquon Barkley. The best the Chiefs can do in the Super Bowl is contain Barkley, but at some point, he is likely to get loose.

Barkley is an excellent bet for a long touchdown in this game. It may not always look pretty this week, but all it takes is one game.

Xavier Worthy - Kansas City Chiefs
Opponent: at PHI
Opponent Rank vs. WR: 15th

Xavier Worthy feels like a player who will be schemed open all game long on Sunday. Give Andy Reid two weeks to game plan for one of his best players and magic should follow.

Worthy has been excellent during these playoffs. He has caught 11 of 13 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown in two games. With the Chiefs likely needing to take to the air at some point during this game, expect Worthy to see solid volume with limited options in the passing game.

Travis Kelce - Kansas City Chiefs
Opponent: at PHI
Opponent Rank vs. TE: 15th

Travis Kelce was quiet in the AFC Championship Game a couple of weeks ago. However, this is a player who shows up in the limelight. Kelce caught nine passes for 93 yards in last year's Super Bowl. The year before that, Kelce caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown.

Kelce is as good a bet as any player on the Chiefs to score this week. He is necessary to their success in this game and is rightfully one of the better fantasy plays this week.

Dallas Goedert - Philadelphia Eagles
Opponent: vs. KC
Opponent Rank vs. WR: 29th

The Chiefs were one of the more generous teams against opposing tight ends in 2024. Goedert has been a force to be reckoned with during these playoffs, giving him plenty of momentum heading into the Super Bowl.

Goedert has caught 15 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown in three postseason games. He has looked unstoppable at times by running over smaller players along the sideline. He is an excellent pick for your lineup this week against a Chiefs defense that has struggled to cover the middle of the field this season.

Fantasy Football Matchups to Temper Expectations

Isiah Pacheco - Kansas City Chiefs
Opponent: at PHI
Opponent Rank vs. TE: 1st

Isiah Pacheco has not looked the same since returning from his fibula injury earlier in the season. He is a tough runner and will be important to the Chiefs' success this weekend, but he is not a viable fantasy option.

The Eagles are stout up front with Jalen Carter leading the way. The sledding is going to be tough for Pacheco in a game that projects the Chiefs to dink and dunk their way to victory in the passing game. Leave Pacheco alone until he is fully healthy next season.

DeVonta Smith- Philadelphia Eagles
Opponent: vs. KC
Opponent Rank vs. WR 25th

While wide receiver A.J. Brown woke up in the passing game during the NFC Championship Game, the same cannot be said for Smith. Smith has had a tough go during these playoffs. He has only caught 12 passes for 121 yards and he has not exceeded 55 yards in a single game.

Smith is going to face a solid secondary in the Chiefs during the Super Bowl. While he could get loose for a long touchdown at some point this week, the Chiefs figure to keep him mostly in check. With tight end Dallas Goedert emerging as such a huge part of the Eagles' postseason run, Smith has been left out of some of the fun.
