FanDuel NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 9 - Daily Fantasy Football

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NFL DFS lineup picks for Week 9 of the 2020 season, and some value sleepers for your daily fantasy football rosters.

We are now at Week 9, and it feels like only yesterday that the season was just beginning. Nonetheless, we some solid contests on the schedule, with many of them projected to have a combined score of over 50 points. As an added bonus, with warmer temperatures expected to sweep the nation, weather shouldn't be a factor, unlike the sloppy, wet conditions we saw last weekend.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 9 daily fantasy football lineup picks on FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. Be sure to also check out our weekly DraftKings DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big!

FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 9 Picks

Kyler Murray, QB - vs. MIA ($8,600)

Murray and Tua Tagovailoa will meet again, but this time, it will be as professionals. Both men had successful collegiate careers before entering the NFL, and while the verdict is still out on Tagovailoa, especially after playing only a few games, Murray appears to be well on his way to becoming one of the league's elite. Before the Cardinals' Week 9 bye, the sophomore signal-caller exploded against the Seahawks by finishing with just over 38 fantasy points, his highest of the 2020 campaign. While the Dolphins Defense has held its own all year by allowing 18.6 points per game, the best in the league, Murray has been playing too well to ignore.

Josh Allen, QB - vs. SEA ($8,200)

Allen began the season as one of the most talked-about players at the position. Throwing for 12 touchdowns and only one interception throughout the first month of the year, the former Wyoming Cowboy seemingly made monumental strides during the offseason, primarily in the accuracy department. However, Allen appears to have hit a cold spell and will be coming off his worst performance of the season, where he finished with 13.46 fantasy points against the Patriots in Week 8. Luckily, he will have a favorable matchup ahead against a Seahawks Defense that has had trouble shutting down opposing quarterbacks. Allen has received plenty of mention this week, nonetheless, so those looking to separate themselves from the pack could make some waves, especially if he has another poor performance.

FanDuel Running Backs - Week 9 Picks

Dalvin Cook, RB - vs. MIN ($9,300)

Cook appeared to be healthy against Green Bay after missing some time due to injury. The 25-year-old went wild in that one, running for 163 yards and three touchdowns off of 30 attempts. He also added a pair of catches for another score. The former Seminole has found the end zone in each of his appearances this season while also being classified as one of the most brutal red zone threats. He has also played well against the Lions throughout his career and should be considered for all DFS lineups in Week 9.

David Montgomery, RB - @ TEN ($5,900)

For those looking to save some dough, Montgomery may make some noise on the fantasy end based on volume alone. While he hasn't eclipsed the 100-yard mark this season, he still has been an impactful runner by ranking fifth in rushing yards after contact and first in broken tackles. With the 23-year-old not having much competition for touches out of the backfield, Montgomery could be a sneaky option against a Titans team that has struggled over its last two contests.

J.K. Dobbins, RB - @ IND ($5,300)

Mark Ingram II is suffering from an ankle ailment and will be sidelined once again. In his stead, Dobbins should take on an enhanced role for the second-straight week. In Week 8, the rookie finished with 115 carries for 113 yards. While Gus Edwards, who had 87 yards and a touchdown off of 16 carries against Pittsburgh, should have a role once again, Dobbins may have a slightly bigger upside, despite both men having the ability to exceed their values.

FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 9 Picks

DeAndre Hopkins, WR - vs. MIA ($8,800)

With Davante Adams playing on Thursday night, Hopkins may be one of the highest-scoring options on Sunday. He has logged less than eight targets only once in 2020 and has found the end zone in two of his last three contests. The Dolphins have allowed over 63 fantasy points to opposing wideouts over the previous two weeks, second only behind the Arizona Cardinals, making him an ideal option against Miami.

Julio Jones, WR - vs. DEN ($8,200)

It would be a huge surprise if Calvin Ridley were to suit up against the Broncos after he injured his ankle in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers. If he is indeed absent, which is likely after failing to log a practice session this week, Jones should be in line for some extra attention from Matt Ryan. The veteran has played relatively well this season despite having a few rough outings. He has been targeted 29 times over the Falcons' last three contests, and it's scary to imagine he may see north of 10 in Week 9, although it is very possible.

FanDuel Tight Ends - Week 9 Picks

Travis Kelce, TE - vs. CAR ($8,000)

It isn't shocking that Kelce's rostering cost is significantly higher than others at the tight end position. He had a solid outing against the New York Jets last weekend by ending with eight receptions for 109 yards and a score. He has also racked up four touchdowns over his previous four contests and should be able to keep things going against the Panthers on Sunday as he continues to get plenty of looks from week-to-week.

Hayden Hurst, TE - vs. DEN ($5,600)

Hurst has picked things up since arriving in Atlanta after some disappointing seasons in Baltimore. He caught five of his seven targets in Week 8, and just as in the case with Julio Jones; he could be in store for an expanded role if Calvin Ridley is available on Sunday.
