FanDuel NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 4 - Daily Fantasy Football

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NFL DFS lineup picks for Week 4 of the 2019 season, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have hit the first bye week of the season, which will make things a little interesting in Week 4. With many teams dealing with significant ailments, there are a handful of substitute options available on Sunday, notably Kyle Allen, Wayne Gallman, and Darrel Williams, who could all be in line for extra snaps. Keep an eye on injuries as we get closer to opening kick as the door could be open for others who could easily step up and exceed their value. If you are looking to stack, Vegas has Kansas City at Detroit leading the way with a projected overall score of 53 points, with the Buccaneers and Rams not far behind.

In this article, I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks in FanDuel for September 29, 2019 (Week 4). These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. Be sure to also consult the NFL Depth Charts and Snap Counts for more critical information this week.

FanDuel DFS Quarterbacks - Week 4 Picks

Tom Brady - QB, @ BUG ($7,800)

It's hard to think that Brady would be an option against a top-five Bills Defense, but he has made a career out of making the division rivals look foolish. With only three losses to Buffalo throughout his lengthy career, the 42-year-old has compiled 69 touchdowns and 8,248 passing yards while throwing just 24 interceptions. Since most will likely be scared off based on the matchup alone, Brady could be a sneaky roster addition for tournaments in Week 4.

Russell Wilson - QB, @ ARI ($7,800)

Arizona is arguably the second-worst team in the league this season and with Panthers' backup Kyle Allen rocking the Cardinals Defense last week, many are wondering just how much damage Wilson will do in Week 4. He put up 41.34 fantasy points against the Saints and has been steadily improving statistically since opening week. While Patrick Mahomes is never a bad option, the Chiefs may crumble the Lions and likely run out the clock towards the end of the contest, which in turn will limit his production from a fantasy standpoint. While the Seahawks are decent, Seattle will likely have to earn a victory at University of Phoenix Stadium, meaning Wilson will have to throw until the end of the game.

Kyle Allen - QB, @ HOU ($6,800)

Speaking of the Panthers' backup, if you want to roll the dice again for the second week in a row, check out Allen, a guy who has surely been making waves as of late. The sophomore threw four touchdowns against the Cardinals in Week 3, finishing with a value-bursting 24.34 fantasy points. The price is very reasonable considering his ceiling, though he isn't recommended for cash lineups.

FanDuel DFS Running Backs - Week 4 Picks

Dalvin Cook - RB, @ CHI ($8,300)

Obviously, Christian McCaffrey is never a bad choice for any fantasy lineup, but if you are looking to save some bread, Cook can be had for $700 less. He will be going up against the Bears Defense, which is not good news, but you have to keep rolling with a guy who is averaging nearly 25 fantasy points on the year.

Austin Ekeler - RB, @ MIA ($8,100)

With Melvin Gordon slated to return next Sunday against the Broncos, this may (likely) be the last week that Ekeler takes the majority of the snaps out of the Chargers backfield. Los Angeles is playing Miami in Week 4, and unless you've been living under a rock, you know just how bad the Dolphins are. There is no need to elaborate any further on this pick, so get him in your lineup.

David Johnson - RB, vs. SEA ($6,800)

After hopes were high coming into the 2019 campaign, it is evident that Johnson still isn't the same player that he was a few years ago when he lit the fantasy world on fire. Nonetheless, he has played favorably against Seattle over the years and should be plenty involved as both a rusher and a receiver against a mediocre Seahawks Defense. Johnson likely won't be a favorite for many tournament players, but if you are hesitant on running with Wayne Gallman, who will probably be a sexy pick for most in Week 4, you can always throw a curveball by relying on the 27-year-old for some healthy production. If you are still hesitant on this one, Marlon Mack looks good against Oakland for a bargain price of $7,300, just $500 more than D.J.

FanDuel DFS Wide Receivers - Week 4 Picks

Julio Jones - WR, vs. TEN ($8,500)

In his only game against the Titans, Jones had nine receptions (17 targets) for 92 yards and a touchdown. Though we are almost four years removed from that performance, history does have a funny way of repeating itself. Look for Jones to be heavily involved, especially if Calvin Ridley, who is battling a hip issue, isn't able to play.

Sterling Shepard - WR, vs. WAS ($6,500)

Someone has to get some extra targets with Saquon Barkley out of the lineup. Shepard missed Week 2 against Buffalo but returned with a vengeance against the Buccaneers by finishing things up with 100 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions. The Redskins are not a very good team on the defensive end (or offensively for that matter), so the No. 1 wideout should get plenty of looks from Daniel Jones on Sunday.

Larry Fitzgerald - WR, vs. SEA ($5,900)

Fitzgerald has been targeted 31 times this season while racking up 18 receptions for 253 yards and two touchdowns. If you need a lower-cost option, the 36-year-old has been making waves despite nearly retiring not long ago.

FanDuel DFS Tight Ends - Week 4 Picks

Evan Engram - TE, vs. WAS ($6,800)

Just like in Sterling Shepard's case, Engram will be another beneficiary as a result of the loss of Barkley. He has had at least 20 fantasy points in two out of three appearances this season, so keep him in the back of your mind if you have some extra dough.

Greg Olsen - TE, @ HOU ($6,000)

If you are still a non-believer regarding the abilities of Will Dissly and want to look elsewhere, Olsen got some love from Kyle Allen in Week 3. He had six receptions and found the end zone twice with Allen under center, and though the Texans have been solid against his position, the veteran should continue to get some attention. He is currently dealing with a back issue; however, he will likely be ready to go on Sunday as he has had the same designation for the past two weeks.

FanDuel DFS Defenses - Week 4 Picks

Patriots Defense - DEF, @ BUF ($4,800)

If you think that the Patriots offense is scary, the defense is even worse. It leads the league by allowing opponents to net just 199 yards per game and while Josh Allen has played well, his inexperience and poor decision making (at times) could get him in trouble in this one. Of course, also don't forget about the Chargers Defense, for obvious reasons.
