FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (5/10/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Juan Carlos Blanco highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 5/10/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

The NBA tees up a six-game slate Monday night as the final week of the regular season tips off. The playoff picture still isn’t completely clarified in either conference, so there’s still plenty of intriguing basketball left to play and solid workloads remaining for star players.

Monday’s ledger features a particularly intriguing Wizards-Hawks matchup, but the Pacers-Cavaliers, Bucks-Spurs and Jazz-Warriors clashes all have notable postseason implications to varying degree for one or both teams. Additionally, there are some big-name injuries that should continue to open up extra opportunities for various players.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/10/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Russell Westbrook, PG – at ATL ($12,400)

Westbrook is essentially the no-brainer DFS decision of the season Monday night, as not only is he in the midst of a record-setting tear, but he’ll also be taking the floor without Bradley Beal (hamstring) next to him in the backcourt. Westbrook just tied Oscar Robertson for the all-time lead in triple-doubles Saturday night, and he’s averaging a whopping 61.3 FD points per contest over the last 16 games. There’s really not much more of a case that needs to be made for Westbrook than those very figures, but it’s certainly worth noting he’s also posting a 36.0 percent usage rate and averaging 53.5 FD points per 36 minutes with Beal off the floor, and that the Hawks are allowing the 11th-highest offensive efficiency (27.1 percent) to point guards.

Caris Levert, SG – at CLE ($8,800)

Malcolm Brogdon is listed as questionable with his hamstring injury again Monday, but given he’s now missed five straight games, it’s certainly within the realm of possibility he sits again. If he does, note LeVert is averaging 44.6 FD points per 36 minutes with his teammate off the floor and is coming off having posted over 60 FD points in each of his last two contests. LeVert is a strong play even if Brogdon were to return, considering the Cavaliers are allowing the third-highest offensive efficiency (25.5 percent) to twos, along with the fourth-most FD points per game (46.6) to the position in the last seven. Additionally, LeVert still sports a 27.8 percent usage rate and averages 41.2 FD points per 36 with his backcourt mate available.

Eric Bledsoe, SG – at MEM ($5,700)

Bledsoe is another player who’s certainly in position to overdeliver on his salary due to injured teammates, as he’s slated to once again take the floor without Zion Williamson (finger) and very likely Brandon Ingram (ankle). Bledsoe racked up 50.3 FD points against the Hornets without either available Sunday, and he’s averaging 32.9 FD points per 36 minutes without the duo on the floor this season. Bledsoe has mostly been underperforming the majority of the season relative to his career norms, but with New Orleans still alive for a play-in spot and the Grizzlies have been more vulnerable to two-guards of late with 42.5 FD points per game allowed to the position in the last seven, the veteran could have an excellent chance of delivering over 5x on his current salary for the 22nd time this season.

Also consider: Stephen Curry ($10,300); Trae Young ($8,400); Raul Neto ($4,800)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Domantas Sabonis, PF- at CLE ($10,700)

Sabonis and LeVert have been the biggest beneficiaries of Brogdon’s ongoing absence, and the big man could therefore be set for another stellar fantasy night Monday. Sabonis is now averaging 49.4 FD points per 36 minutes with Brogdon and frontcourt mate Myles Turner (toe) off the floor after posting 70.1 FD points against the Wizards on Saturday and also tallying 67.8 and 71.3 in two other games during Brogdon’s current absence. Sabonis also posted 38 and 47.7 FD points in two other meetings with Cleveland this season, while the Cavs check in ranked in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency allowed to centers (32.4 percent) and have given up 53.3 FD points per game to fives for the season, including 58.4 over the last seven.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, SF – vs. WAS ($7,300)

Bogdanovic has averaged 37.6 FD points and shot an incandescently hot 48.1 percent from three-point range over his last 13 games, a stretch during which he’s eclipsed 35 FD points on 10 occasions. He’s also been exceedingly aggressive from behind the arc, putting up double-digit three-point attempts in four of his last six contests alone. All those numbers are especially appealing when considering Monday’s matchup against the Wizards, which continue to play at a league-high pace that will afford Bogdanovic a few extra possessions to work with and which have allowed 37.4 percent three-point shooting on the road. Washington will also be without Beal’s defense in the backcourt and already come in allowing the fourth-highest offensive efficiency (25.3 percent) to two-guards, along with the highest three-point percentage (40.8) to the position.

Kyle Anderson, SF – vs. NO ($5,900)

Anderson continues to offer strong and well-balanced fantasy production down the stretch for the Grizzlies, averaging 29.7 FD points over the last six games, and 30.8 over the last 20 overall. The veteran wing is back to his customary small forward spot with Jaren Jackson having moved into the starting lineup at power forward, and he continues to check off nearly every box on the stat sheet on any given night. The Pelicans will very likely be without Ingram on the wing Monday, and New Orleans already checks in allowing 40.1 FD points per game over the last 15 to threes. The Pels are also giving up the second-highest three-point percentage on the road (39.7), while Anderson is shooting an impressive 42.5 percent from behind the arc in the last 10 games.

Also consider: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,300); Jae'sean Tate ($6,200); Jaren Jackson Jr. ($5,500)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Clint Capela – vs. WAS ($7,700)

Capela already put up 42.3 FD points over 30 minutes against the Wizards in one previous meeting, and before a quiet 21.8 FD points Saturday night against the Pacers, Capela had averaged 39.9 FD points per game over the prior 10 contests. The big man’s offensive involvement sometimes fluctuates, but with the matchup against ultra-fast-paced Washington, Capela should have plenty of extra opportunities to put up shots. The Wizards are also surrendering the seventh-highest offensive efficiency (33.9 percent) to fives -- along with the fifth-most FD points per game (57.9) to the position – and Capela, who’s flashed nearly an 80-FD-point ceiling this season, has delivered over 5x return on his current salary on 32 occasions this season.

Jusuf Nurkic – vs. HOU ($7,600)

Nurkic has increasingly started to look like his old self after a bit of an uneven start to his return from a wrist injury, as he’s averaging 35.2 FD points on 12.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest over the last 15. Most recently, he’s scored 35.1 to 43.7 FD points in his last three games, and Nurkic already tallied 34.2 FD points against the Rockets back on Dec. 26. Houston checks in allowing the most total rebounds per game (56.2), along with the fifth-highest offensive efficiency to centers (34.1 percent) and in the paint (59.2 percent). The Rockets are also yielding the second-most FD points per game (60.8) to fives over the last 15 contests, furthering Nurkic’s case at a salary he’s repeatedly proven capable of delivering at least a 5x return on recently.

Willy Hernangomez – at MEM ($5,800)

Steven Adams could well miss another game with his toe injury Monday, and Hernangomez has already scored 22.9 to 34.3 FD points in his last four starts in Adams’ stead. The young big is averaging a near double-double of 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds during that span, and he’ll tangle with a Grizzlies squad Monday that’s allowing the 12th-highest offensive efficiency (32.7 percent) to centers, along with the third-most FD points per game to the position (60.6) over the last 15 games. It’s also worth noting Hernangomez has one very strong game against Memphis on his resume already this season -- posting 27.1 FD points over just 19 minutes off the bench back on Feb. 16 -- and that he'll also likely be playing without both Williamson and Ingram again on Monday.

Also consider: Jonas Valanciunas ($8,000); Rudy Gobert ($7,900); Jakob Poeltl ($5,700)
