FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (4/23/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

FanDuel DraftKings daily fantasy basketball

Stan Son highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 4/23/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We've got a seven-game slate for Friday. Two teams (BOS and CHA) are playing the second leg of a back-to-back.

There are two games at 7:30 pm (MIA @ ATL and BOS @ BKN), three games at 8:00 pm (WAS @ OKC, CLE @ CHA, and LAC @ HOU), and the late-night hammer at 10:00 pm are MEM @ POR and DEN @ GS.

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/23/21. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Keep an eye on Rotoballer’s injury news to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Russell Westbrook, PG - at OKC ($11,000)

Revenge! I kid. I'm not about the narrative life but....REVENGE! Kidding. Westbrook faced the Thunder two games ago and put up 52.7 FD points. He's gone for at least 50 FD points in each of the last six games with three above 60. The Thunder play at the seventh-fastest pace, are 24th in defensive efficiency, and boost the FPPM to point guards by 11.37% above league average.

Raul Neto, PG - at OKC ($3,600)

With Deni Advija going down, Neto played 36 minutes last game and contributed 34.6 FD points. The Wizards could continue playing small with Bradley Beal sliding down to small forward and Neto playing at shooting guard. Neto is averaging 0.82 FD points per minute. The Thunder also boost the FPPM to shooting guards by 12.54% above league average.

Paul George, SG - at HOU ($9,400)

Kawhi Leonard is out for this one and we know the drill when he sits. You play Paul George. With Kawhi off the floor, George sees a 7.8% usage bump to 38.1. Over the last seven games that he's played, George has put up at least 50 FD points in six of those contests. The Rockets play at the fifth-fastest pace and are 25th in defensive efficiency.

PJ Dozier, SG - at GS ($3,800)

Over the last four games, Dozier has played 25, 37, 24, and 28 minutes. The usage rate has been 19, 16, 28, and 18. The shooting efficiency has been poor at 30% in three games, but he's attempted 10, 9, 14, and 10 shots in those games. In terms of FD points, he's gone for 23.4, 23.5, 16.8, and 31.4. With all the injuries in the Nuggets backcourt, Dozier is going to play significant minutes.

Also consider: Kyrie Irving ($9,700), Brandon Goodwin ($5,000), Bradley Beal ($8,100), Armoni Brooks ($4,200)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

I don't like the value at small forward.

Jimmy Butler, SF - at ATL ($9,300)

For as well-rounded a game that Butler has, I'm surprised he only has 11 triple-doubles in his career. I'm sure he's come close many times. Regardless, he does it all which provides a high floor but he can access ceiling games. He's gone for at least 60 FD points six times this season.

Darius Bazley, PF - vs. WAS ($6,700)

Since returning from injury, Bazley has scored at least 30 FD points in four of seven games. He's produced 26 points in each of the last two games. The usage rate has been 32 and 28 over the last two games and he's attempted 25, 19, 15, 18, and 18 shots in the last five games. Now he gets a juicy matchup against the Wizards who are first in pace and 21st in defensive efficiency. This is the kind of game environment in which Bazley thrives. These teams matched up two games ago and Bazley contributed 37.9 FD points.

Xavier Tillman, PF - at POR ($5,000)

Jonas Valanciunas has been out with a concussion. As a result, Tillman has started the last two games and feasted. He's played 41 and 29 minutes, contributing 44.3 and 31.4 FD points. Valanciunas has already been ruled out so he should get significant playing time again.

Also consider: Michael Porter Jr. ($7,400), Kevin Love ($6,200), Daniel Gafford ($5,300)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Jokic, C - at GS ($11,300)

Jokic does it all. Pass. Shoot. Rebound. Block. Steal. He went for 42.3 FD points in the last game but, prior to that, he went for 73 FD points against the Grizzlies which he accomplished in 45 minutes. and then 64.7 FD points in only 27 minutes. The floor/ceiling combo is one of, if not the best, on the slate. I have an easy job, as long as Jokic is on the slate because I can just leave what I wrote the prior week/weeks and just make minor amendments to his blurb.

DeAndre Jordan, C - vs. BOS ($5,000)

With Nicolas Claxton out, Jordan has been called upon again. Blake Griffin has been starting at center but Jordan has played 28 and 21 in the last two games, contributing 25.4 and 18.7 FD points.

Also consider: Bam Adebayo ($8,500)
