Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (left elbow) will be a full participant in practice this week, head coach Dan Quinn said Sunday. Daniels was limited in all three practices last week before Washington ruled him out against the Indianapolis Colts. He has missed two straight games since dislocating his left elbow in Week 2 against Dallas. A full week of practice would put Daniels on track to return Sunday against the New York Giants, although he still needs to get through the week before Washington clears him to play. The timing could be important for the Commanders after Marcus Mariota aggravated his right MCL against Indianapolis and is expected to miss some time.

He later went to the locker room and was initially listed as questionable to return. Barkley finishes with two carries for eight yards. Tank Bigsby was the first back onto the field after Barkley left, with Will Shipley also available behind him. Philadelphia has not provided any further information yet on the severity of Barkley's hamstring injury.

Jaylin Lane Has Serious Ankle Injury
Washington Commanders wide receiver and returner Jaylin Lane is dealing with a serious ankle injury, according to head coach Dan Quinn, as reported by JP Finlay of NBC4 Sports Washington. Lane was injured on a kickoff return early in the third quarter of a Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in London. He did not appear to be able to put any pressure on his left leg and had to be carted off of the field. Lane was quickly ruled out of the game and did not return. Lane did not record any receptions and had three kickoff returns for 80 yards (26.7 yards per return) against the Colts. He has tallied two receptions for 25 yards (12.5 yards per attempt) in 2026.

Joe Mixon Visiting Seahawks, Worth a Stash?
Free-agent running back Joe Mixon is visiting the Seattle Seahawks, according to Jay Glazer on FOX. Mixon has not played since 2024 after a foot injury wiped out his entire 2025 season, but he was still productive the last time he was on the field. He rushed for 1,016 yards and 11 touchdowns on 245 carries in 14 games for Houston while adding 36 catches for 309 yards and another score. Seattle has a reason to look for help. Rookie Jadarian Price (chest) was placed on injured reserve Saturday and must miss at least four games. Zach Charbonnet (knee) returned to practice this week but cannot be activated until Week 5 at the earliest as he works back from a torn ACL. Emanuel Wilson and George Holani are among the backs currently available. Mixon is only visiting at this point, so there is no guarantee he signs, but his past production and Seattle's short-term uncertainty make him a reasonable speculative stash in deeper fantasy leagues.

Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota (right knee) aggravated the MCL injury he first suffered during the preseason and is expected to miss some time, according to Ian Rapoport. Mariota will undergo additional testing after leaving Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts in the first quarter. Rapoport also reported that there is hope Jayden Daniels (left elbow) can return in Week 5 against the New York Giants. Patriots Hope A.J. Brown Will Return in Week 6
The New England Patriots "hope" that wide receiver A.J. Brown (ankle) will be able to return from injured reserve after the minimum four weeks, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. If that happens, his first game back would be Week 6 against the New York Jets on Oct. 18. However, Garafolo cautions that the entire situation remains fluid, and given that Brown originally had a six-week recovery timeline after he exited the season opener, it's too early to guarantee that he'll be on the field in Week 6. New England won't rush the star receiver back, but they'd certainly love to get him on the field as soon as he's healthy. The Patriots' offense has looked abysmal for most of this season, and Brown would inject some much-needed physicality and playmaking upside into a unit that has just one passing touchdown through three games this season. Romeo Doubs and Mack Hollins have been operating as Drake Maye's top targets with Brown sidelined.
