FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/27/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Stephen Curry - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 12/27/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Happy Holidays, everyone. As we conclude the first week of the 2020-2021 NBA season, things have gone relatively smoothly outside of many of the Houston Rockets being forced to isolate. On Saturday, we were treated to some solid performances, with James Harden going off for over 73 fantasy points and Andre Drummond putting together an impressive outing against his former team.

As back-to-back contests begin to make an appearance and load management becomes more prevalent than ever, especially with the quick turnaround between seasons, guys like LeBron James and Anthony Davis may play less than expected at times, which ultimately will make things more challenging on the fantasy end.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/27/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Stephen Curry, PG - @ CHI ($8,300)

The Warriors are in a different situation from year’s past. Once a club that was expected to compete for a championship to now, an organization not even in the playoff conversation. With Klay Thompson out of the picture and Draymond Green, a shell of his former self, Curry will have added pressure to step up this season.

The former MVP has gotten off to a rough start thus far. He has drained only 13 of his 38 shots from the field and is currently shooting a miserable 20 percent from behind the arc. However, Curry appears to be back on track, or at least we hope, after draining 105 straight three-point shots during a recent Warriors’ practice session. Although that may not fix his shooting woes in a real game, fantasy managers should at least keep him in mind, especially with a ceiling as high as his.

Chris Paul, PG - @ SAC ($6,800)

After several notable seasons in Charlotte (New Orleans) and Los Angeles, Paul appeared to be heading toward the final chapter of his career in Houston. However, since then, the veteran found new life in Oklahoma City by logging 70 games, the most since the 2015-2016 season, and appears rejuvenated since ending up with the youthful Phoenix Suns.

Paul has gotten off to a decent start to the 2020 campaign. While the 35-year-old isn’t the force he once was on the scoring end, he has plenty of capable bodies to pass the ball to, notably Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton, making him a legit double-double threat whenever he is on the floor.

Also consider: Ish Smith ($3,900), Bradley Beal ($8,500), Devin Booker ($7,500), Zach LaVine ($7,000), Eric Bledsoe ($5,600), Devonte’ Graham ($5,400), Alec Burks ($5,200)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Jaylen Brown, SF - @ IND ($8,000)

Last season, Brown stepped up and filled in admirably for Gordon Hayward and Kemba Walker during their respective absences. With Hayward in Charlotte and Walker still dealing with a knee ailment, the former third overall pick should continue to serve as the No. 2 option on the offensive end for Boston behind Jayson Tatum.

Brown has shined during the inaugural two games of the year, averaging 30 points per game. He has a solid chance at keeping things going on Sunday despite the tough matchup against the Pacers.

Zion Williamson, PF - vs. SAS ($7,900)

Williamson battled a knee injury last season, and with the COVID-19 inducted shutdown, NBA fans didn’t fully experience his talents. He appears to be making up for it, nonetheless and has been dominant early on.

The sophomore forward logged 32 minutes on Christmas, scoring 32 points and pulling down 14 boards, his second double-double in as many games. Stan Van Gundy is looking to take the Pelicans to the postseason in 2021, and his clearest path there is to continue to give Williamson plenty of minutes and the keys to the offense.

Also consider: Brandon Ingram ($7,800), Gordon Hayward ($7,200), Troy Brown ($4,000), Marvin Bagley ($5,800), Jae Crowder ($4,300)

FanDuel DFS Center

James Wiseman, C - @ CHI ($5,000)

Wiseman has looked excellent in his first two games in the league. He has hit at least 31.2 fantasy points during that time and has established himself as a force on the offensive end.

With Marquise Chriss out of the lineup on Sunday and Draymond Green possibly not playing once again, the rookie may receive a generous bump in minutes, which in turn, will give him more opportunities on the offensive end. At a generous rostering cost of only $5,000, Wiseman can surely help round out any fantasy lineup on Sunday.

Also consider: Andre Drummond ($8,400), Nikola Vucevic ($8,400), Thomas Bryant ($5,200), Wendell Carter Jr. ($4,900)
