FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/7/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Tom Vecchio highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 6/7/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a split slate of games with four in the early window and five in the late. There are some solid options for whichever slate you decide to play, so I tried to grab a few options from each one. There is only one super high priced pitcher to look at Gerrit Cole, making him the clear chalk cash game option.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/7/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Jose Berrios – P, MIN vs CWS (FD - $9,500)

We have a slate with one super expensive pitcher, Cole, so if you are looking to spend down a bit, Berrios could be the answer. He comes into this game with 44 FanDuel points or more in three of his last four games, which stems from the fact he has seven or more strikeouts in four straight. He has a super low walk rate of 5.6% vs L and a 4.0% walk rate vs R. Berrios can keep himself out of trouble and limit the damage, which is shown by him allowing two or fewer earned runs in three of his last four starts. He has good upside today vs the White Sox, who have a 23% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is 11th worst in the league. Solid cash game play but also has some tournament upside, since he has flashed 11 strikeouts vs the White Sox earlier this season.

Miles Mikolas – P, STL vs MIA (FD - $9,000)

Mikolas has been the definition of consistency this year, as he has allowed two or fewer runs in eight of those starts. He comes in sporting a modest 23% K% vs R and a 14.7% K% v L. Very average numbers from him, but he excels with his ground ball rate, which allows him to limit the damage. He has a 43% groundball rate vs lefties and an elite 61% groundball rate vs righties. Really strong stuff from him should allow him to be right back at his season average for performances against this weak Marlins team. It should be noted that the Marlins have a 24% strikeout rate vs RHP, which is in the bottom 10 of the league, but we shouldn’t be expecting too many K’s out of him.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Logan Morrison – 1B, MIN vs CWS (FD - $2,900)

Morrison has been dealing with some back issues, but he was available off the bench last night, so he should be good to go today. He comes in with a .301 wOBA and a .176 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. Those are very average numbers, but he isn’t overly expensive, and all six of his home runs are against RHP this season.

Dee Gordon – 2B, SEA @ TB (FD - $3,300)

The Mariners are one of the best teams in the league, and I feel like no one is talking about them. If they are this good, then you should want their leadoff hitter in your lineup. He has .307 wOBA vs right-handed pitchers, along with a strikeout rate at only 16%. Gordon gets on base and rarely wastes a plate appearance. He also brings plenty stolen base upside, with 15 of his 19 swiped bags coming against right-handed pitchers.

Matt Carpenter – 3B, STL vs MIA (FD - $3,900)

Carpenter is up against a young and inexperienced Marlins pitcher who is giving up a .411 wOBA to lefties this season. The power is really coming on for Carpenter, as he had a .286 ISO in May, compared to a .119 ISO in Mar/Apr. Pretty solid play in all formats today, with some sneaky home run upside.

Manny Machado – SS, BAL @ TOR (FD - $4,500)

Machado is a borderline must play in my opinion tonight and it’s for good reason. He comes in with a massive .401 wOBA and a .323 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season. He has hits in eight of his last nine games, with three home runs and two doubles. The production is there, the matchup is there, and the power upside is there for him. Just play Machado tonight.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Corey Dickerson – OF, PIT vs LAD (FD - $3,200)

Dickerson had a multi-hit game last night, which makes four in his last five games. Really, really strong production and he is still under $3.5K. He shouldn’t be that cheap for that level of consistency, but it should be noted he is lacking the power. Dickerson will have the platoon advantage against a Dodgers pitcher making his second career start.

Nick Williams – OF, PHI @ CHC (FD - $2,500)

Williams is very cheap and comes in with a .331 wOBA which is a bit shocking since he is so bad against left-handed pitchers, only a .220 wOBA. The splits are huge for him, so only play him against RHP, as he is tonight. Little power streak for him with three home runs in his last seven games and up against Chatwood, who is giving up a .356 wOBA to lefties.
