FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/25/16): MLB DFS Advice

We've got another full slate this Wednesday with games starting at 1:05 ET. FanDuel has contests for Early Only, All Day, and Main Slate, so there's plenty of action to be found.

On the pitching side of thing, Jake Arrieta takes the mound in a duel with Carlos Martinez, while Corey Kluber and Jose Quintana square off. The highest over/under in Vegas is 9.5 for Angels-Rangers and Rockies-Red Sox. I personally think both games are suspect to go under and I provide alternative stacks below.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/25/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Rays versus Justin Nicolino

The Rays absolutely punish left-handed pitching, including a .818 OPS (4th) and 68 runs (2nd) against LHP. Nicolino has been pedestrian for Miami, posting a 4.30 ERA and a measly six strikeouts. I love the righties in this one, including Brandon Guyer, Steve Pearce, and Steven Souza Jr.

Cubs versus Carlos Martinez

C-Mart has been struggling in 2016, including three straight starts without pitching past the fifth inning. The Cubs .784 OPS and 185 runs versus RHP are fourth and second in baseball, respectively, and they are coming off a 12 run outburst last night.

Also Consider: Astros versus Tyler Wilson

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Jake Arrieta (SP, CHC) - $12,300

Of course Arrieta is in play today. He has a 1.29 ERA through nine starts and has a 11.7 K/9 through his last three starts. The Cardinals are a formidable offense versus RHP (.843 OPS and 193 runs rank second) but Arrieta is in a league of his own.

Matt Andriese (SP, TB) - $7,600

Andriese has not disappointed after taking a role everyone presumed would go to Blake Snell. He has a 2.11 ERA through 21 innings and faces a Marlins team that is struggling versus RHP.

Also Consider: Junior Guerra (SP, MIL) - $7,200 (GPP) and Tyler Duffey (SP, MIN) - $6,000 (GPP)

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C)

Salvador Perez (C, KCR) - $2,700

Um... what? Perez is 7-for-9 in this series with two HR and his price hasn't fluctuated at all. Ownership will be high, but he's a solid cash play.

First Base (1B)

Steve Pearce (1B, TB) - $3,600

Pearce has a .405/.488/.865 slash line versus LHP in 2016 and has solidified himself into the cleanup spot. He's one of my favorite plays today.

Also Consider: Anthony Rizzo (1B, CHC) - $3,800

Second Base (2B)

Jonathan Schoop (2B, BAL) - $3,100

Schoop has flown under the radar but he's been a top 10 second basemen this year. Seven of his eight home runs have come from righties and Colin McHugh has been suspect to the long ball.

Shortstop (SS)

Jonathan Villar (SS, MIL) - $3,600

Villar is a two-stat play (AVG, SB) but he's very good at the second one; his 15 SB lead baseball (tied with Jose Altuve).

Third Base (3B)

Josh Donaldson (3B, TOR) - $3,800

Donaldson for below $4K seems too good to pass up. Although he hasn't kept up his 2015 MVP numbers, he has a .438 average versus Ivan Nova in 16 at-bats. This is a good spot to get things going.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Lorenzo Cain (OF, KC) - $3,600

Like teammate Salvador Perez, Cain is loving this series. He is 6-for-10 so far and provides a solid HR/SB potential at this price range.

Brandon Guyer (OF, TB) - $3,400

Guyer has led baseball in OBP since taking over the leadoff role for the Rays. He has a .378/.481/.644 line versus LHP.

Mallex Smith (OF, ATL) - $2,900

Mallex has started to come around for the Braves. He's hitting .298 in the month of May and is a legit source for steals.

Also Consider: Desmond Jennings (OF, TB) - $2,400
