Dylan Sampson, Tyron Tracy Jr., Rachaad White: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 3

Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Dylan Sampson, Tyron Tracy Jr., Rachaad White for Week 3? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

Deciding between which players to start each week could be the difference between winning and losing your matchup. Here at RotoBaller, we try to make things easier for you by comparing several players who are ranked close to each other and examining which of these players you should be starting.

In this article, we will see if Dylan Sampson, Tyrone Tracy Jr., and Rachaad White should be started in fantasy football for Week 3. All three running backs haven't been consistent fantasy options through the first two weeks, but each running back carries some upside this weekend. These three playmakers could find their way into your fantasy lineups in this crucial week.

So, should fantasy managers start Sampson, Tracy, and White in Week 3? Where do these three running backs rank at RotoBaller for this week? Let's dive in and find out.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Dylan Sampson for Fantasy Football?

Sampson was a solid fantasy option in Week 1. He totaled 17.3 PPR fantasy points while playing 43% of Cleveland's offensive snaps. However, with Quinshon Judkins making his NFL Debut in Week 2, the 21-year-old took a backseat on offense. His snap share dropped to 23%, and he only totaled four carries for six yards on the ground in that contest.

As a result, fantasy managers should stay away from Sampson this week. He appears to be the clear backup to Judkins, and this matchup against the Packers' defense is not an ideal one. Green Bay currently ranks second in rush yards allowed per attempt through the first two weeks. Even though Sampson has caught 11 passes in two games, there are better players to start in your flex in Week 3.

Judkins' involvement and this matchup against the Packers make the rookie a must-sit in almost all formats. Sampson comes in as the RB44 in half-PPR formats at RotoBaller this weekend.

Should I Start Tyrone Tracy Jr. for Fantasy Football?

After playing 74% of the Giants' offensive snaps in Week 1, Tracy's snap share came way down in Week 2. Although he scored 9.1 PPR fantasy points in last week's contest, he only played 42% of the team's snaps. The second-year running back took a backseat to rookie Cam Skattebo in that game, as the latter saw 13 opportunities compared to Tracy's nine opportunities (five rushes and four catches).

With a timeshare likely between these two running backs moving forward, Tracy will be a riskier flex option in Week 3 against the Chiefs. He is only averaging 2.6 yards per carry across the first two games, and this Chiefs run defense is no joke. Kansas City is allowing just 3.6 yards per carry on the ground to start the year.

Therefore, he isn't worth starting in most cases. Skattebo should continue to have a role in this New York offense, and Tracy will enter this week with a very low fantasy floor. He comes in as the RB42 in half-PPR formats at RotoBaller for Week 3.

Should I Start Rachaad White for Fantasy Football?

White was impressive in his limited work on the ground last week. He totaled 10 carries for 65 yards and one touchdown while catching two passes for one yard. That helped him finish as the overall RB20 in PPR formats in Week 2. The 26-year-old is now averaging 6.58 yards per carry across his 12 carries in 2025.

However, the limited snap share makes it hard to trust him in fantasy this weekend against the Jets. White has played 14 snaps (Week 1) and 25 snaps (Week 2) through the first two weeks, and it was just two weeks ago that he saw just three total touches against the Falcons. So, White should only be started in extremely deep leagues this week.

Bucky Irving is the clear RB1 in this Tampa Bay backfield, meaning White might not see the field much. He comes in as the RB43 in half-PPR formats at RotoBaller this week against a Jets defense that just allowed 132 yards and two touchdowns on the ground to James Cook a week ago. That means in some 18-plus team leagues, he could be worth a look.
