DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/27/19): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on May 27th, 2019. Daniel E. Dobish's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

For Monday's Memorial Day slate of Major League Baseball games, I'll be focusing on all of the contests beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET through 9:10 p.m. ET. Be sure to double-check the weather and the lineups before finalizing your roster.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/27/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too.

Be sure to also check out all the Vegas Odds for today's slate. If you have any questions or comments, contact me on Twitter @danieledobish.

Today's Weather

The weather forecast is pretty favorable across most MLB venues. In Chicago, the Royals and White Sox will face winds from 9-12 mph blowing directly in from center field to home plate. The Diamondbacks and Rockies will also experience swirling winds at Coors Field, blowing from right field to third base at a 9-12 mph clip.

The only trouble spot might be in the Twin Cities, as the Brewers and Twins might face a lengthy rain delay. The forecast calls for an 80 percent chance of precipitation through the middle innings, failing off to 50 percent by 8 p.m. CDT. The rain is expected to pull out by 9 p.m. ET, so it's possible the game will get in after a long delay. Still, it might be best to avoid this game altogether.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Tommy Milone - P, SEA vs. TEX ($6,500)

Milone is a solid low-cost option at home, even if he is pitching for the offensively-challenged Mariners. The Rangers have had their issues against southpaws, going 2-5 across their past seven vs. LHP, and 7-22 in the past 29 on the road against lefties.

Rick Porcello - P BOS vs. CLE ($7,300)

Sure, things haven't exactly been going according to plan for Porcello and the Red Sox, as he is just 3-4 with a 4.45 ERA overall. However, after a slow start he has picked up the pace significantly, posting quality starts in five of his past six outings while going six or more innings in each of his past six assignments. He has posted a 3-2 record, 3.41 ERA and a .208 opponent batting average in five home outings at Fenway Park. He has coughed up 10 homers in 56 2/3 innings, but just three of the homers have come at Fenway Park.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Josh Phegley - C, OAK vs. LAA ($3,500)

Phegley has been posting All-Star caliber numbers so far this season despite battling out of the ninth position in manager Bob Melvin's starting nine. Phegley posted a double and a home run in Sunday's series finale, too, and he is slashing a very respectable .281/.326/.504 on the season. He also has 15 extra-base hits in just 121 at-bats, making him a strong mid-tier DFS option.

Eric Hosmer - 1B, SD at NYY ($4,200)

Hosmer has rolled up some huge numbers lately, hitting .365 (38-for-104) with four doubles, five homers and 16 RBI across the past 30 days, slashing .365/.412/.548 to make him a strong value at this price level as opposed to some of the other first basemen on the board.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. - 2B, TOR at TB ($3,300)

Gurriel is on a power binge, smacking three homers in each of the past three days at home. Now, he'll look to carry the momentum into St. Petersburg against RHP Yonny Chirinos and the Rays. He has posted four RBI in three previous meetings this season against the Rays. At this price point LGJ is a solid fantasy option for his power production.

Matt Chapman - 3B, OAK vs. LAA ($3,900)

Chapman homered in each of the final two games during the Seattle series, and he'll now get a chance to square off against former teammate RHP Trevor Cahill. The Angels starter cannot keep the ball in the yard, serving up 14 homers in just 49 innings while posting a 6.43 ERA in 10 starts overall this season. If you're going to run a stack on Monday, you're going to want plenty of A's on your squad.

Tim Anderson - SS, CWS vs. KC ($5,000)

Anderson will square off against Royals RHP Homer Bailey. He will look to stay red hot in Monday's series opener. The shortstop is slashing .378/.404/.578 with an OPS of .982 in 23 games at home this season, collecting eight extra-base hits, including five homers and 11 RBI across 90 at-bats.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Hunter Renfroe/Franmil Reyes - OF, SD at NYY ($5,100, $4,200)

The two power-hitting outfielders for the Padres lead the majors with nine homers apiece across the past 30 days. They'll look to keep up their homer-hitting ways against RHP Luis Cessa. Renfroe has been particularly attractive over the past month, posting five doubles with nine homers, 21 RBI and a .951 OPS with 13 runs scored.

Tommy Pham - OF, TB vs. TOR  ($4,800)

Pham enters Monday's game with the longest active hitting streak in the majors at 12 games, going 15-for-49 (.306) with seven runs scored, three homers and six RBI. Strike while the iron is hot, as Pham looks to make it a baker's dozen vs. RHP Aaron Sanchez.
