DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 1/8/22 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 1/8/22. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

We have another busy Saturday with college football nearly out of the picture for another eight months. There are 12 games for us on DraftKings starting at noon eastern with South Carolina heading to Nashville to take on Vandy. Penn State hosts Purdue, Clemson heads to Raleigh to take on the Wolfpack, Providence hosts St. John's and UConn heads to the Hall.

We start the afternoon with Arkansas heading to College Station and Virginia heading to Chapel Hill. An hour later we have Kansas State in Morgantown, Texas in Stillwater, Syracuse at Wake, and Villanova heading to Chicago to take on DePaul. We close out the early slate with Michigan State heading to Ann Arbor. This is a loaded slate once again!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/8/22 starting at noon Eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Dereon Seabron, North Carolina State ($9,000)

Seabron just might be matchup proof. Even in a tough matchup against the Hokies on Tuesday, Sebron racked up 38.5 DraftKings points. Again, I don't feel like his ceiling is the highest against a team like Clemson, but Seabron plays a ton of minutes and is a constant double-double threat while rarely being in four trouble. This feels like another cash night for Seabron. If you are leaning towards higher upside, it's probably with Alondes Williams.

JD Notae, Arkansas ($8,500)

Unfortunately, DraftKings caught onto how big of a value Notae was. His price rose nearly $3,000 in four days! Still, Notae has at last 25 DraftKings points in every game this season. That's the kind of floor I want. He has at least 32 DraftKings points in three straight games and in four of the last five. That's despite two poor shooting games in a row. If he finds the stroke he had in early December, look out!

Scotty Pippen Jr., Vanderbilt ($7,500)

The price is finally a little more reasonable on Pippen and I'm not sure why. He still had solid games against Arkansas and BYU, putting up 55.25 DraftKings points combined. This is a much better matchup against the Gamecocks here. Pippen's floor is about as high as Notae's, but the ceiling is higher. Pippen has the ability to put up some big numbers if the Gamecocks keep it relatively close.

Bryce Aiken, Seton Hall ($5,900)

Aiken got the dreaded raised price treatment as well, but his price at $3,700 was comical. In this range we actually have to think it a little more. Okay, thought about it. Aiken still has at least 25 DraftKings points in each of the last four games. That's good enough for me until he cools off. He may not though. Aiken's success isn't because of an abnormal hot streak from the floor. He's shooting above his averages lately, but the steals and assists are also way up. That's why I still feel comfortable using him.

Andre Jackson, Connecticut ($5,300)

R.J. Cole gets most of the attention, and rightfully so, but Jackson's production wasn't far behind before UConn's extended break. Jackson had 90.5 DraftKings points in the three games leading up to Christmas against three good teams in Marquette, Providence, and St. Bonaventure. Seton Hall is also a good team, but I tend to think that Jackson's production isn't as far behind Cole's as the price would indicate.

Also consider: Alondes Williams, Wake Forest ($8,800); Posh Alexander, St. John's ($8,100); Terquavion Smith, North Carolina State ($7,100); Al Durham, Providence ($6,100); Max Christie, Michigan State ($5,600); Jalen Terry, DePaul ($4,600); Davonte Davis, Arkansas ($4,000)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($9,300)

That's five consecutive double-doubles for Bacot now. The last time he missed that mark was in a blowout of Elon in which he played just 24 minutes. He hit the mark against Michigan and Georgia Tech in the games prior to Elon as well. Virginia excels at slowing teams down, but I still think Bacot is a lock for another double-double. Did I mention that he also has four straight games over 40 DraftKings points? He's about as safe as they come tonight. This is the kind of floor I'm after when I spend this much.

Jake Laravia, Wake Forest ($8,300)

Laravia is proving to be Wake's best offensive threat. He has at least 15 actual points in three straight games despite only making one three-point shot combined in those three games. He has at least four assists and seven rebounds in each of those games as well. Laravia is a well-rounded threat and should be able to put up strong numbers against Syracuse again. He has played all but two minutes in the last three games combined. I want that kind of court time when I pay up.

Seth Lundy, Penn State ($6,500)

I don't make it a point to go after a team like Purdue, but Lundy hasn't been under 22 DraftKings points in six weeks! The only reason he was under against LSU is because he was an awful 3-of-16 from the floor in that game. Lundy is a capable scorer, good rebounder, and good defender. He has a strong floor, especially against a physical team like Purdue.

Armaan Franklin, Virginia ($5,600)

Franklin has scored in double figures in four straight games. He also has solid rebounding numbers and five steals in the last two games. He has been arguably the best player for the Hoos since 2022 started and has seen an uptick in minutes because of it. He's priced reasonably enough that we don't have to bail just because he's playing North Carolina. Franklin might be able to keep this up.

Joel Soriano, St. John's ($4,800)

Soriano still comes off the bench, but he has 56.5 DraftKings points in his last two games......that came three weeks apart. A positive COVID test kept him out for a while, but Soriano wasn't limited against DePaul. He piled up nine rebounds in just 17 minutes. I would expect Soriano to play a few more minutes in this one. St. John's is going to need his energy.

Also consider: Julian Champagnie, St. John's ($9,700); Hunter Dickinson, Michigan ($8,400); Jesse Edwards, Syracuse ($8,000); Timmy Allen, Texas ($7,500); Cole Swider, Syracuse ($6,400); Wildens Leveque, South Carolina ($5,000); Dallas Walton, Wake Forest ($4,200)
