BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 53% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Everybody was pumped about Devin Duvernay and his under-the-radar upside after Marquise Brown got traded away from Baltimore and opened the door for DD to take on (at the very least) a WR2 role. Turns out our man is now the actual WR1 of the Ravens ahead of Rashod Bateman bettering the latter's numbers on all fronts.
Duvernay has more snaps (320 to 190), more targets (32 to 28), more receptions (24 to 15), more yards (313 to 285), and more touchdowns (3 to 2) than Bateman. Hell, Duvernay even has 55 rushing yards and a freaking touchdown on the ground, too!
Duvernay is also coming off his best game of the year after, precisely, scoring a rushing touchdown on a two-carry, 33-yard rushing outing against Tampa in which he also hauled in all four of his targets for 31 yards. That is what we call extraordinary here. That is also what translates to 16.4 PPR points and a near-WR1-level outcome, just in case.
While playing the WR1 role is cool, it only means you're the top-two receiver in Baltimore because of the presence of a certain Mark Andrews. Andrews, though, was unfit entering last Thursday and ultimately was forced out of that game with an injured shoulder in the second quarter.
Duvernay might have a window of opportunity here to play the actual go-to role as the main pass catcher under Lamar Jackson in Week 9. He's been a season-long lock for WR3/FLEX production averaging between 10-and-12 PPR points more often than not.
Make sure to roster/start Duvernay in the deeper formats and consider him a reasonable flier to take in shallower leagues considering the extra opportunities he might get with TE Mark Andrews a bit shaky and the backfield also hurt.
