ANALYSIS: Running back Derrick Henry joined the Baltimore Ravens this offseason after spending the first eight years of his career with the Tennessee Titans. Henry’s landing spot with Baltimore was the best-case scenario for his fantasy value in 2024. He goes to a Ravens offense that ran the ball at the highest mark last season (49.92%) and scored 26 touchdowns on the ground.
As a result, he has been a popular pick early in fantasy drafts. Given where you selected him, he is a must-start every week for your fantasy team. In Week 1, Henry will go up against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that gave up a whopping 4.4 yards per carry in 2023. So, fantasy managers should lock the veteran in as their RB1 this week.

Henry should see most, if not all, of the running back carries in this game with J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards both leaving in free agency. His age (30) might worry some fantasy managers this year, but in this run-first Ravens offense, he should score plenty of touchdowns in 2024.
