BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Leagues
ROSTERED: 19% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: As is often the case with Derek Carr, the Raiders quarterback is as good at producing fantasy points as he is as flying under the radar. Carr had his second-best game of the season this past Sunday against a no-joke defense in that of the Patriots, which bodes well for him going forward. The Raiders face a softer couple of defenses in their next two games (Bills and Chiefs) so he should keep his current level at the very least.
That means, in case you're wondering, fantasy-point tallies of around 15-to-20 FP any given Sunday. Just this past weekend, Carr completed an average 24 of 32 pass attempts for 261 yards and 2 TDs against no interceptions. That's pretty much Carr in a nutshell, as those numbers align perfectly with the averages he had produced during weeks 1 and 2. Carr's upside on the ground is virtually non-existent (he rushed for 10 yards on 2 carries in W3), though, which limits his potential.
So far, Carr is the QB20 this year. While he won't win you the league he's a sound option to feature weekly if you happen to play in any sort of 2QB league, and a borderline viable streamer for 1QB-and-deep ones if you're in one of those. Keep in mind Las Vegas has been playing with a lot of injured offensive players, so it makes sense to see Carr bumping up his numbers as we get deeper into the season.
