BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton looks like he's on his way to leading the G-Men in receiving yardage for the fourth time in the past five seasons, despite often entering the season as an afterthought. This season, Slayton has caught 41 passes for 602 yards and two touchdowns. Second on the team is tight end Darren Waller with 456 receiving yards.
In Week 16, Slayton caught three passes for 90 yards and a score in the team's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. That accounted for half of the receptions for the team's wide receivers. The other three all went to Wan'Dale Robinson as Jalin Hyatt and Isaiah Hodgins combined for zero targets and zero receptions.
Slayton's now gone over 50 yards in three of New York's last five games, though Week 16 was his best showing of the entire season, besting his previous high yardage total of 82 yards from back in Week 11 against the Washington Commanders.
Up next is a meeting with the Los Angeles Rams on New Year's Eve. The Rams have allowed the 11th-most passing yards in the NFL this season, so there's definitely upside if Slayton maintains his role. Considering he led all the team's receivers by playing 94% of the team's offensive snaps, fantasy managers should assume Slayton will get plenty of snaps this week. There's upside in 14-team leagues.
