BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 3% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It seems like we go through this every year. New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton is written off as a depth player without fantasy value and then, at some point, he starts to get on the field more and more.
This year, his increase in production seems to be a direct result of tight end Darren Waller hitting the IR. In the first game without Waller, Slayton saw a season-high seven targets, catching four passes for 59 yards.
The thing with Slayton is that getting on the field hasn't been an issue this season, as he's played over 80% of New York's offensive snaps in seven of the nine games so far. That includes 81% of the snaps this past week.
With Waller out, Slayton had a season-high 24% target share. It's clear that tight end Daniel Bellinger, who had a 10% target share, isn't the one taking on the bulk of the missing Waller work.
Slayton's long-term value is low, but he's got at least three games where he can be a low-end streaming play in deep leagues. It's not a lot, but a guy who'll play as many snaps as Slayton is hard to find on the wire.
