BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 4% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: We're not talking Captain America when I mention how impressive Chris Evans looked on Sunday. The 2021 sixth-round pick out of Michigan didn't get huge chances to display his skillset in college, but his role in the burgeoning Bengals' offense has taken a surprisingly short time to expand. In his first three games of offensive production (weeks two, three, and five), Evans didn't see a single carry, but he did catch five balls on five targets for 55 yards (18.3 per game). In Cincinnati's 34-11 win over the Lions on Sunday, Evans came alive; catching three balls on three targets for 49 yards and a touchdown and 18 yards and a touchdown on his first four carries of the season.
More importantly, from week one to week five, Evans saw 16 total offensive snaps; but this past week, he saw 16 snaps in one game. All the while, Evans ranks first among Bengals running backs in receiving yards and is fourth on the team in rushing yards despite having only four attempts from the ground. Joe Mixon might dominate the backfield action for the Bengals, but the last few weeks have shown a clear proclivity for the Bengals in working the versatile Chris Evans into the offense as opposed to the alternatives like Samaje Perine and Trayveon Williams. In deep PPR formats, he's worth going after as a sneaky benefactor of an exciting, young offense.
