ANALYSIS: Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley was one of the few bright spots in the offense last season as he tallied 1,017 yards and four touchdowns on 64 receptions. He saw a hefty 120 targets, but was unable to connect on nearly half of them due to subpar QB play.
However, with the Titans adding top QB prospect Cam Ward with the first selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, fantasy managers viewed Ridley as an intriguing sleeper heading into 2025 drafts.
His 2025 season got off to a rough start as Ridley was only able to bring in four of his eight targets for a mere 27 yards. Facing a tough Denver secondary, Ward and the entire Tennessee offense stumbled throughout this game. While Ridley dropped a handful of passes, the entire offense will take some time adjusting given the change under center.
While Ridley figures to be the clear WR1 in this offense, he faces another tough task this Sunday: the Los Angeles Rams. Last weekend, the Rams kept the Houston Texans out of the end zone and allowed the eighth-fewest points to WRs in PPR formats. Ridley's projected volume gives him a solid floor, but his upside is relatively low, given Ward's growing pains.
He is a solid WR3 in PPR formats and a low-range flex in standard formats.
